My favourite Tottenham Hotspur player ever. Brought that extra flair to the side and although he was only at the Lane for 2 seasons he was idolized by the fans and will be greatly missed by all associated with Spurs. Full of passion after every goal, especially against Arsenal. Proud to wear the shirt and wish him all the best after his transfer back to Hamburg in the summer. Na, Na, Na, Na, Na, Na, Na, Na, Na, Na, Na Rafa Van Der Vaart. VAN DER VAART, RAFA VAN DER VAART!

There have been many Tottenham players over the years who have won trophies. Dave MacKay, Jimmy Greaves, Steve Perryman, Graham Roberts, Glenn Hoddle, to name but a few. All these guys contributed towards Spurs trophy cabinet. Yet, I still get excited by Rafael van der Vaart. His finishing was sublime. His position was fantastic. He was the virtuoso, he was the genius. Loved the fact he played for Spurs.

Tottenham has a habit of acquiring great players and letting them go far too soon... What a shame. Rafa is such a class act. It's also a shame that Bale's childhood dream was to someday play for Real Madrid. I'm glad he's doing well there, but imagine if he had stayed! I think if Spurs could manage to keep their talented signings, it would be a very successful club in this modern era. :(

after losing to chelsea 4-0, watching this video made me happy. at stamford bridge yesterday was an awful performance. no passion at all. i know, it was hard to play with ten men against a team like chelsea. but i was hoping that our players would put more passion into the game like we did against Inter. :(
