@@zabinitro​​⁠​​⁠ The only reason RU-vid is where it is is they happened to a video streaming service which people adopted before anyone else and, Google, being able to afford buying the company, is now making about 10% of their gargantuan profits from the site, benefiting from all the actually talented people on their site (talk about freeloading). These people aren’t Einstein, just right place right time, and are now making more money than anyone could possibly need in 100 lifetimes. It’s a disservice and insult to the population of the world that fine art be interrupted so the marketing machine can try and force feed us garbage so those at the top can make a few extra pennies. At least in this case 68% of that it’s going toward this music label, and really it should be like 90%, the incredible musicians here are the people with actual real societal value, not the billionaires who played their cards right in making RU-vid and such. And RU-vid premium is even worse at 55%, but I will concede if you pay it you are supporting RU-vid channels much more than ads, though you might be better off actually buying stuff from them like music recordings in this case. Anyways, I’m sure most people would be willing to watch five ads at the beginning of the video if it meant we were able to listen to masterful music without having it be spit on by some bs target ad.
