In this first chapter of Raggedy Ann and Andy, we are introduced to Marcella who finds an old rag doll in her grandmother's attic. Raggedy Ann was left up there when her grandmother became too old to play with her. Once found and reintroduced to her grandma, Marcella is given the doll who is soon joined by her grandma's friend's old doll Raggedy Andy.
