If govt remove such indexation in future whatever you purchase suppose one CR home you are likely to pay 36 lakh around tax . Basically indexation helps to reduce the profit Suppose If you purchased home in year 2000 and value of that home is 10 lakh and you sell it in 2024 for 60 lakh then earlier govt adjust that 10 lakh with inflated amt and 10 lakh become roughly 50 lakh And you eligible to pay capital gain tax on 10 lakh ( 60 lakh - 50lakh ) But because of removing of indexation purchase amt i.e 10 lakh in year 2000 does not adjusted to 50 lakh and then you're liable to pay tax on 50 lakh (60 lakh - 10 lakh ). Ab itna tax kon vasool karta hai aapka education ka pata nahi but mere saare friends circle seniors bhi isi tax field mein hai toh pata hai muze. Sabhi log is indexation ke khilaaf hai

I think R.Chadda is referring tax calculation with old tax regime and not new one... because considering with new tax regime income tax must me ₹1- ₹1.5 approx on ₹10 , only if ones income is above ₹15lakh
