I don’t think watching the video is a waste of time .. it’s a trial as indicated by Nisha and she’s trying to show us whether the recipe using ragi flour works . As it didn’t work out , we learn from feedback and suggestions from viewers on how to improve it. Life is a learning experience! Pls be kind and not use nasty words to show your displeasure .. if you have nothing nice to say , then don’t say it! Thank you !

I usually add a tablespoon or two of wheat flour to bind the ragi. The dosas turn out perfectly fine. Adding other ingredients like some chopped shallots, green chillies, curry leaves, corriander leaves, some grated carrot and coconut, a teaspoon of ajwain and salt will take the ragi dosas to the next level. 🙂

Hello aunty my granny use to make ragi dosa just like neer dosa. I have also tried it many times and it comes out perfect. She use to make the batter very liquidy and keep the batter for 40-45 mins to rest. Later heat a non stick tava, greasing it and pouring the batter just like we do for neer dosa( in Maharashtra we make ghaavane). Turn it once cooked and Cooke it really crisp. it tastes awesome one of my fav breakfast 😍 also we purchase ragi locally make the atta and later use it. Never purchased it readymade.

You can make beautiful ragi pancake without it cracking or breaking up.All you have to add is growing flaxseed soaked in water. When it becomes gluey you add it to the ragi flour with additional water to make the batter.

My mom used to make Ragi paratha. She used to make a batter with Ragi flour, salt, thick curd and water. Don't make the batter very thick. I have been making Ragi dosa ever since in the same way. The cracks are visible in this paratha, try cooking at a high temperature during the initial process and then reduce it. I creased the pan with sesame oil and then poured the batter. I kept it open and added little oil before flipping it. Hope this helps.

Just FYI, I actually made it work well. It worked for both Jowar and Ragi flour. All I did extra was that, I added 4 TB spoons (scoops) of Topioka Starch powder and I got them working. Topioca Starch powder is a binding agent like Gluten but it is gluten free and has high nutritional value. It is also natural and not made in the lab. Instead of Topioca, you can also use Potato starch powder as well, but its quantity needs to be 1/3rd of that of Ragi flour, means you need more quantity. Try it out and let us all know how it worked out (or not) for you ! Thank you

Honestly I have tried your liquid Jawar recipe for paratha and failed to make it, so I have added 1/3 cup of Oat flour and one TBSP of psyllium husk to your liquid Jawar paratha recipe and it turned out really good, so I think the same method will work for this recipe also.

I do ragi dosa atleast twice a week. How I do is--- In ragi flour add little of dosa batter, salt warm water mix nicely and allow it to rest for 2hrs or min 1hr. Wen u open the batter u can see the batter has fermented a bit, air bubbles will be popping up. Under stage you can start using your ragi dosa... Unless the batter is fermented dosa will not be soft. If we fermented nicely we will get nice soft dosa it will have a very good taste also. If you leave it overnight it will give a sour taste. Alauda baithe maximum of three hours for fermentation then you can immediately use it

Mix the batter n rest it for 30 minutes. And make ragi Dose. Also cover the Dose with lid while cooking. N give me yourself feed back. Ragi dose with (crushed garlic, red chilli powder n salt mix it with sesame oil. It's called Pooende Karam. Best combination. Good for digestion n healthy as well. Try mixing some water with flax seed meal and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. That’s an egg replacer, and may cause the cake to hold together. It works with teff flour, with which I make vegan flat bread. Yummy.

Same thing happened to me also. I am trying for instant Ragi dosa with different combination of rice flour and suji but still nor satisfied. With pouring consistency like rava dosa it's okay but I prefer like normal dosa with flowing consistency. Probably mixing Ragi flour with urad dal batter is the only solution. I appreciate madam's video for showing the failure in the video. Very practical. Thank you ma'am
