Drastic over simplification. Naoto and Ragna were both suspicious of each other cause the two both known a girl named Saya who has the power to consume souls. Which there should only be in one in a given universe, and the two aren't aware that they're alternate versions of each other. Tell me you don't pay attention to BlazBlue without telling me you don't pay attention to BlazBlue.
I love how they instantly piss off each other yet they are soooo similar in personality lol Also, since we know their existences themselves are overlapping on each other and threatens to cease to exist as a consequences, kinda makes sense they would get a bad vibe from each other
•Technically naoto is ragna’s uncle •he is not ragna, but rather another version of him from a different timeline. Hence why they both had the same drive, same color scheme, and also naoto’s hair turns white when he uses his drive. •Raquel, who is the person he is searching for is in fact the alternative version of Rachel, hence why they look so much the same and act the same exact way. Naoto himself says this about Rachel when he first meets her. •naoto did exist in the original blazeblue timeline. But was actually murdered by Clavis Alucard(Rachel’s dad) however the naoto you see here is a timeline where instead clavis let’s him live •The reason why Rachel doesn’t want these two to ever meet is because she fears his existence in this timeline where he shouldn’t even be in anymore would erase ragna. Hopefully this somewhat helps
@@olmollmk6681 think of it like this. There’s a Naoto in Ragna’s timeline who died. In Naoto’s timeline, he is alive and he’s related to Saya (aunt or mother of Ragna, his sister Saya, and Jin, I’m not sure) At this point in still confused
Family relation = uncle and nephew. Soul relation = the have have the same soul, that why they give the same impression for the ones who meet them. (cf Jin, nu-13 and hakumen reactions when they saw Naoto) Existence relation = the also have the same : "the enemy of the world."
I love how Ragna said “What” in the story. Like no matter what scene, whether the scene is him fighting a teenager with a similar drive or a literally a green haired edgelord God in a susano’o unit, he still say it the exact way Ragna: *Huuuuuaaaahhh*
What I find stupid about this is that naoto should know that he is not in his own world by this point. So arguing with another guy who has the same power as you about who's brother is saya was really dense on naotos part for not putting two and two together.
xHenjin NDK it’s not the same power as his, but the same as his sister’s. Plus amongst Drives, Soul Eater is considered unnatural and different. So maybe he knows something we don’t, wouldn’t be the first in this game.
I love how they don't even consider that the Saya they're talking about might be different. Especially since Naoto is not from in his own timeline Because, you know, some names are very obviously unique and all...
Naoto kurogane's voice actor is voicing cool character like Mahito( jujutsu kaisen), Yuno (Black clover), Itsuka Shido (Date a live), Izumi shinichi (Parasyte the Maxim) and Eugeo (SAO: Underworld)
To clear things up Naoto is implied to be Ragna, Jin, and SayaNami's uncle. Their mother is the 5th Prime Field Device who's heavily implied to be Saya Terumi, Naoto's sister. Naoto belongs to a "B" timeline that takes some decades before the start of the "A (Main Story)" timeline but is effected by events that take place in the "A" timeline. So for fuck's sake stop with the "Naoto is Ragna from an alternate whatever."
@@tonyinfinite5174 It's not even an exclusive Drive. Shota Touya and inferior MC Touya also seem to have the drive. The only reason the name "Bloodedge" is attached to Ragna is because like the sword and coat it's always been something he had. Why that's the case is I guess something that happened in the Age of Origin and it stuck for whatever reason.
@@MercurialSpider yes you're right besides double Touya Naoto gained the drive through Raquel blood however the power of order(Jin,Celica) and the chaos power (Nine,Ragna) was skimmed over do those powers choose their owner or is it right of succession 🤔
@@tonyinfinite5174 Yes and no to both. Order exists to counteract something and will manifest in someone to do so. It will also transfer over if it's current holder is unsuitable, Jin's Power of Order is transferring to Tsubaki/Izayoi in her CF arcade iirc. The Power of Chaos, if to be called that, can be gained either by contact with something or "inheritance." The reason Nine was to have Celica as a counterforce was while in the womb her father mixed the Original Grimoire with her. You can "inherit" the Drive Soul Eater once it's previous host dies. But Soul Eater is unique in that regard. Ragna seemed to be damned in either case. Take the Azure Grimoire or would've lively gotten Soul Eater all things considered.
@@ensemble3647 Technically, Naoto is an alternate universe version of Ragna, and, IIRC, his presence in this universe is threatening Ragna's existence. I think that Naoto is also kinda-sorta Ragna's uncle since Ragna's (and Jin’s and Saya's) biological mother is/was based off of Naoto's sister, though I'm not sure if that was supposed to be Naoto's *actual* sister, or this Ragna's dimension's version of Naoto's sister. Blazblue really trees are basically incomprehensible multi-dimensional structures (Yggdrasil?), is what I'm saying.
Kind yeah there many timelines Naoto is from Bloodedge experience which is before black beast starting a war . Then main bb games is another timeline , they had their own Naoto who died because of Clavis Alucard . So yeah Naoto is from prequel that takes place in alternate timeline .

the way I see it is Naoto is the Miles Morales to Ragna's Peter Parker, but for some reason Reality is seeing the similarities between the two and going "HURR, glitch in the Matrix. Better delete one" and that is why Naoto's existence in this world puts Ragna at risk.

no Naoto isn't. To be clear his relationship with Saya Terumi is almost exactly like Ragna with Izanami. But, probably to say Ragna and Naoto is lolicon is more accurate
@@ragna197 Izanami is only using Saya's appearance so he can mock Ragna with it. The insides has nothing to do with the real Saya's personality (but well she's the Origin's drive manifestation). Izanami truly hates Ragna

The whole lore is really complicated, I recommand reading Bloodedge Experience if you're interested in learning more about Naoto. But long story short, Naoto is Ragna but from another universe, that took place before Ragna's, while at the same time being related in a weird way. Naoto is Ragna, but at the same time he is also what could be considered his uncle, but also they are the same person but from different universes. Blazblue lore.

Ok. I got this. Crazy Relius made a clone out of Naotos sister, Saya Terumi, and that clone is the mother of Jin, Saya and Ragna. So yeah this would make Naoto to Ragna, Jin and Saya's uncle from a different universe... This also explains why Ragna has the Drive Soul Eater, because this also is the same Drive that Saya Terumi has.
@@sukoshikaze6708 Even more than that, there was a Naoto Kurogane in the regular BB universe too. He was killed by Clavis Alucard. Before dying though, he at one point consumed Saya Terumi (that's Naoto's sister, and she looks almost exactly like Izanami). Prime Field Device 5 was hinted to be based off Saya Terumi and had the ability to almost infinitely amplify seithr. This Prime Field Device mated with a Black Beast, and her "children" were Ragna, Jin, and Saya. Relius states all this in BBCF. One day, Jubei rescues the three from a laboratory and kills PDF 5. He then gives the three to the Sister/Celica.
No no, Naoto's drive is litteraly "Bloodedge", technically they are alternatives to eachother, but here's the stupidness: Valkenhyan (I'm probably wrote it wrong :D) is the same in Naoto's universe.
Well it's a little more complicated than that. You see in Ragna's timeline, Naoto was alive but he was killed by Rachel's father for some unknown reason. It's also implied that the Naoto in the Blazblue timeline could be Ragna's uncle since his sister Saya Terumi was used as the basis for Prime Field Device number 5. The Naoto in this game is from the Bloodedge Experience light novels, which show a timeline where Clavis didn't kill Naoto.
