Ragnar was obviously ambivalent towards the situation. If he really wanted to smash he would have made more of an effort. Instead, he casually just asked her as if asking someone what the time is.
@Marialejandra González Suarez True, but there's more reason to it. He killed her because she threatened to reveal Ragnar's secret, (which was about the settlement in Wessex) and if it did got out, their people would question Ragnar's capabilities as a Ruler, and be distracted from conquering Paris (which did happen later on anyway). And Yes, these are no better reason. Just wanted to clarify things for ya. Hahaha! I know I'm a month late, but I'm gonna reply anyway.
What grinds my gears is that they were soooo meant for each other; the choices they made is what ended up separating them. Still, this scene is gold, both of them wanted to, Ragnar just said it out loud.
The tragedy of life. You have something good but nothing lasts forever, and sometimes it goes away because you make shortsighted choices that end up hurting yourself and the people you care about
they werent meant for each other man. just because they are both great doesnt mean they fit. the reason they were driven apart is rooted deep in their personality and unsurmountable. Ragnar is a discoverer, Lagertha is a (home) builder.
@@youbetu18nah, they were build for eachother until Ragnar not only decided to teach, but tell his wife the woman he cheated with got pregnant and tried to convince his wife that it would be okay to get a second wife. Any sane woman would want to leave their cheating husband after him trying to convince you he did nothing wrong
@@welfarecrusader6855 They did actually, Norse women had more rights than christian women at the time, raping women in Norse culture was a grave offense, unless of course they were on a raid, In which case they didn't view English women as their own. That didn't make it right, but just saying that a woman in dark age Norway lived much better than a Christian English woman at the same time period, since the English typically viewed their women as cattle.
@BlackHunter 07 And how the fuck do you know that they abused their wives? That man is saying the truth, norsewomen had a lot of rights as any other common citizen. They could purchase land, start businesses, be nominated to high positions and so on...
Did u watch Vikings? She was his wife but they separated. So I think it's not too hard to ask his wife if she wants it. But yeah he's definitely alpha in the series coz he gets whatever he wants
@@REALSmokahontas420 it's just a joke comment here. But it did happened to some guys in real life. Luckily, most of them don't go to jail because of this since most judge aren't reetarded. But it did happen. Sometimes because the girl had regrets, other times because she was disappointed with the hook-up and decided to put dirt on the guy.
Lagertha could've easily slept with him to get back at Aslaug, but didn't. I think she was still in love with Ragnar and knew that sleeping with him would only make it harder to be apart from him afterwards.
@@emadgholam9370 There are no 'professionals' in getting woman. There are men being enough confident in their environment to speak openly and clearly about their intentions. I did get some girls this way in some of my workplaces, because i felt extremely well in those places, i talked a lot to them and making jokes about getting laid with each other opened a gate in their imagination which led to actually getting laid with them. Sure it doesnt harm if you dont look bad, but it all depends on your spirit and role in a community.
@@realbr1koo bullshits, lol. "all depends on your spirit and role", yeah sure, this stuff works only if you are goodlooking. Confidence borns with positive feedbacks u receive during your life and slowly developes succes after succes: if u are goodlooking it's easy to be confident. An ugly man can't be confident cause he knows it's a game over before the start.
It's not so unreasonable if you have a nightshift and it's your day off or work is going slow. I play at 3 am all the time because I am not about to F up my sleep schedule anymore than it already is just to say hello to all the assholes that walk around in the sun and take everything for granted. Guys who have little reason to behave the way that you do towards other people strike me as less likely to have a girlfriend than someone who possibly can't sleep til the sun comes up.
@@takejaylor3528 how is that not simping? I would say yes, that he would fuck me under the video of a male fictional character. Definitely simping on ragnar
I love that She says no. He deserved It! But the way She smiles makes me think that She was Happy, because She was certain that his Heart belonged to her. But He makes me angry! Seriously! Why did he betrayed her with Aslaug in First Place? It's disrespectfull for Aslaug and Lagertha! I know It was a matter of lineage, that my mentality Is different from northmen's but I still don't get It. He deserved all the slaps Jack Sparrow had in Tortuga Isle in the First movie of P.O.C saga in my opinion!
Well the fact that the next child she gave birth to died, he felt like she was pretty much spent and fell in love with Aslaug, because it was foretold that he would have many sons, so he “needed” a new wife
@@Chuck2076 I know but it's sad for Lagertha being humiliated in that way and it's sad for Auslaug, Who he used for having a lineage, he cares for her but didn't love her, he even started being a Dick when Ivar was Born and She saved him because She loved him.. asking his ex wife to have sex with him it's being a Dick in my opinion, but when Auslaug della in love with Harbard for what he did to Ivar she's the worst wife... 😒😒 .. I don't think so.
Well considering that she murdered someone for trying to rape her in season one, it's a good thing Ragnar asked for her consent and then respected it when she rejected him :)
I don't think they had a strong driving force after that. With Ragnar you watched him and wanted him to succeed. With his kids, you're just watching stuff play out like a documentary. It wasn't bad, but I didn't care nearly as much. They tried to cram too much in.
@@davids3539 remember the season 3 battles, in France? They were real time, no fantasy, just pure strategic violence. When Ragnar left they slowly moved from that.
I’ve watched some of his other stuff and I think he just puts part of his personality from real life into his work which if I am right then that’s brilliant
This Travis dude has some of the best acting skills in the world. His performance in the show felt so natural. He's a true artist and deserves recognition for his role.
Ragnar is technically mocking her here. Personally, I never understood this hot'n cold thing in between them. Lagertha sucked after season 3 and beyond anyway. Only thing that made her interesting was her unique dynamic with Ragnar and Katheryn Winnick's chemistry with Travis Fimmel worked magnificently.
