I felt Jongjoho shouldn't have gone past Mironchikov, his opponent in the round of 64, but it was a close fight and I am Serbian(the country Mironchikov fights for) so I figured okay maybe the Thai guy won. Gonzales, however, losing this fight is flat out crazy in my eyes. Rahim definitely won this fight.

Gonzales fought so poorly he is fast boxer i don’t understand why he went to brawl … and that thai boxer is huge maybe cuts weight from 90kg+

On the contrary, Gonzales is at his best when he’s pressuring behind a high guard - tends to overwhelm opponents with his engine, bodywork and physicality. A mistake that Gonzales made at both the Pan-Am Games and 1st Olympic qualification tournament is that he tried to box early on, conceded the opening round, and then had to make up the deficit on the cards.

@@taylorohiggins1734 agree and they were in enemy soil against hometown boxer i think coaches adviced him to go super aggressive i’ve seen gonzales live few times very great boxer with blinding speed but this thai guy is huge omg!

1. Blue 2. Red 3. Red Rounds 1 and 3 were tight. Split decision to Red sounded fine by me. He was landing cleaner shots. An observation Red had better conduct as well

I have scored rounds 1 and 3 to American and 2 to Thai boxer. Another robbery. The way that amateur boxing goes isn't bright. I think amateur boxing will get out from Olympic games in the future.
