Rahim Taghizadegan: “Understanding Switzerland and the Swiss” (PFS 2024) 

Mr Taghizagedan always has interesting topics like democracy conceived as an organisational technique.

Very nice presentation. Switzerland looks like a micro Empire like the EU but smaller, that is true. But that is what makes Switzerland a success, being decentralized, so each canton works as a small nation. I would say that cantons are homogeneous, and its federal nature with strong accent on decentralization, it's because of its confederation past, sort of like a mini Holly Roman Empire. Part of the population is protestant, that is a problem, and protestant cantons were more in favor of centralization than Catholic ones.

Boring. Again the same topics. Why is there hardly any progress in the libartarian scene? Why is there refusal to learn about Realpolitik?
