Its very rare to find an artist that can sound just like the album, cd or other various recording mediums, this Man captures the whole ambiance of all of his music even in a live event.
He is an example of how GREAT Vocal Skills are not accepted by the entertainment industry. As a vocalist myself, I really love their talents and wish the could break into mainstream.
I died when the guitar was played......there is something so special about Rahsaan when he sings live...it's amazing how he lets the music flow through him....to me that's the essence of musical expression.....
An amazing underrated heartfelt talent. Very few vocalist can accomplish what he can. This kind of talent should be heard on the mainstream, oh well, it's a complete shame that real artist don't get the recognition that they deserve. I've been listening to Rahsaan for the past ten years, and he gets better and better. Check out his Christmas cd as well. "The Ultimate Gift" Excellent as well. Live4Love....
wow i was just saying that to some1 lastnite that tonex and rashaan should do a track 2gether also stokely from mint condition and raphael saadiq has the same tone and tenor as them/ but tonex has the craziest range out of all of them his doesnt stop but to hear them on the same track...that would be crazy
yes - i think every great vocalists has that moment in their life when they come across their vocal inspirations - and then they take from them - and then make their own style - -
@sandybrownkryptonite I agree that it doesn't matter, but he actually admitted to struggling with his sexuality. He doesn't deny it. People just want something to talk about!
lol.. It's the classic shar pei head you'll find on a lot of Black dudes. This is different from the "pack of franks", which is the series of fat rolls on the back of a fat guy's head. But I could care less about his sexuality, hairline or shar pei head. lol.. The man can sing with so much soulfulness and virtuosity it's not even funny.
