Opened innings to face fast bowlers on green pitches, batted upto 7 down, kept wicket for years, left out by selectors but had to brought in thrice, coz team could not do without him. Mr Reliable, never involved in lobby, gossips.... His contributions are legendary. He was not gifted, he made a lot possible by his discipline n hard work.

As much as I see his video footages I miss him more and it's terrible which I couldn't resist 💖 Don't ever watch any kind of a sport for a particular icon even though you must have been introduced to this game by that particular guy.. *that's my advice* 💔 Miss you wall 😕
I remember when he first came to play in the place of Vinod Kambli. I was sad due to the absence of Vinod and didn't accept him cordially. Later, we realised what a gem he'd become for the team India. It was so tragic that he couldn't play in the World Cup when India won. Both he and Saurav deserved it.
