Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, reached Manipur on Monday and visited reliefs camp in Jibram and Churachandpur districts to interact with people displaced by the ethnic violence between the Meiteis and the Kuki-Zos, which began on May 3 last year.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi begins today on a two-day visit to Moscow for the 22nd India-Russia summit scheduled on July 8 and 9, marking his first visit to Russia since the country’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
During his visit, PM Modi will meet with President Vladimir Putin, their first meeting since they convened in the far eastern port of Vladivostok in 2019. They also met in person in September 2022 at a summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization bloc in Uzbekistan.

Hello RSS, Buying rupees in Indian rupees would be a disaster for both Russia and India given the current two-way trade between the two countries. Russia doesn't have an interest to buy in Indian rupees due to limited demand for Indian rupees in the market. Also, if they sell the Indian rupee in the market, it would put pressure on the rupee and make the rupee weaker. So it is a double-edged sword. It will also also damage our ambitions for trade in rupees.
