"Rahvehi Aasaaru" (a local museum) is run by Arif Ali from Hdh. Kulhudhuffushi, a man dedicated to expanding and developing the museum. He is committed to preserving a variety of items used by ancient Maldivians for different purposes during their lifetime. He believes that this will help modern Maldivians understand how their ancestors lived and came up with creative solutions to achieve certain results or solved a certain problem.
So far, Arif has collected an assortment of ancient artifacts ranging from old lanterns to kettles, to manual fans that our ancestors used to keep cool. Such innovative solutions are sure to spark the interest of young individuals and stir their curiousity, enabling them to think outside the box when dealing with everyday problems.
