i love how many people are passionate about this! Please be aware this is my opinion and its worth thinking of others opinions too. Also Faction wars may lead newer players to keeping a few of my food calls and you will want to watch out for the Rhazin Fusion!
I really wish you would have done some prep work on this. I think this is very dangerous to new players that don't go in the comments and feed Rhazin rares. I like your content, but I actually think this is one of the worst videos that you have made for early game account and FTP players. I can't sit through this any longer with you calling Rhazin rares food. I hope no one in my clan watches this video.
Ben Montgomery you obviously did not pay attention to the video. He said twice, once at the beginning and once at the end, do not feed rares unless you have a copy saved.
@@benmontgomery545 I read your comment before I watched the video, after watching 1 minute your entire statement is completely disregarded. He states as clearly as possible to not feed your rares that are needed for fusions, and warns against feeding rares you don't already have a copy of. I don't know what more you wanted. If somebody from your clan watches this, ignores the warnings on the video, ignores the feeding fusion champion warning ingame, and still goes on to feed Rha-zin fusion rares, they need to look at themselves
@@isdebbiefityet7183 Adding extra space to your vault and roster is possibly one of the best investments in gems and silver you can make, especially as FTP.
There are dozens of videos showing epic reviews from numerous content creators. Since there is nothing new going on with the game, the content creators are forced to rehash the same old stuff over and over.
Love this ! I've kept a copy of every rare just in case. However, I'm feeding most of them. Much easier to use these to level up champs...less resources used and less time. Thanks Hades !
Hi HH. Just an important not in Chevalier - i know he's not great but he is the only source of increased defence in the faction. This is great for faction wars - and becomes really strong if you have Minaya as it can activate her block debuffs.
HH, after a year of playing I am quitting the game to focus on work. I wanted to say thank you so much for everything you do for the players. You were one of the first YTs I found when starting out and your videos helped me progress thru out the entire game. You guys just don’t get enough credit for the work you put in. Keep rocking, stay safe and many blessings to your channel and family in your future endeavors.
Definitely feel like you underrated quite a few rares there. 2 personal favs are Judge from dark elves and Jailer from ogryn. Judge can hit surprisingly hard, his a2 fills his turn meter to 80% and ive gotten his a1 to hit for 90k in pretty meh gear. Had some cool debuffer synergy going on. Jailer just seems to have really good multipliers. Can easily steal defensive debuffs and then 1 shot someone with his a2. A3 just his really hard after taking buffs off. Clearly there are way better champs, but would be cool to see them rated as if epics and legs don't exist. Just my personal opinion though, love all your vids, thanks.
@@HellHades I'm sure you know, but just in case: Didn't mean to sound like I completely disagree with your ratings. You know a lot more about the game than I do. I think there are still some hidden gems in the rares and am merely trying to get them the love they deserve!
When I first started the game, Heiress was not food. She has that RK snowball effect and she counters any time a ally is hit. So she is constantly firing arrows and is really fun in early campaign fights.
Fun fact: GRAPPLER is the ONLY defense based poisoner in the game, and is pretty good for maybe easy/normal clan boss if anyone didn’t choose Kael to start out with, and before yaga
18:29 Grinner always reminds me of the Mouth of Sauron or whatever the guy's name is who gets beheaded by Aragorn before the final battle in The Return of the King xD
I know he didn't do "uncommon" but I would like to mention I have been running a tier 5 sniper with full life steal armor on and she can solo half way through brutal.
Yeah Sniper is a hidden goddess but I haven't been putting too much resources into her lately even on the account that I set aside a rank 5 Sniper because Sicia Flametongue the Legendary demon spawn getting her to rank 6 and fully ascended is a far higher priority. For my 1st account Sniper isn't a priority because I want either Armiger developed for block revive or Valerie for the shield and buff management or Galek because he's the mascot and I haven't bothered to 6 star him yet. So THAT is why Sniper isn't being focused right now because I have different priorities
Check hairess (from high elves) again. I think she is Not food. Specially A2 . In cb it removes every stun, and gives you 30% speed buff for whole team . I think that's useful for early/mid game atleast. Also great aura for dungeons and cool passive.
Heiress is ok if you dont have anything better to deal with the stun, attack champions are rarely worth it in clan boss though since you cant just stack attack / crit dmg and expect them to survive.
Let me clarify what i mean: she would only work in low clan boss difficulties but at those lvls you really shouldnt worry about the stun too much and just put in more dmg instead. Whichever way you look at it upgrading her to 60 is a huge waste of resources. anything below (40 OR 50) is fine since you can feed her later for real champs.
@@Erado1980 In early/mid game nobody goes for direct dmg ....so atk/crit rate/crit dmg is out of question here. She will do a support role , and for Survivability you see their base denfense. And I think she has very good base defense compared to lots of cb champs
@@Erado1980 You can use her at lvl 50 in dungeons also for the 16% speed aura and speed boost. If you are talking about 6* worthy then there will be very few everything else would be food .....which isn't what he said said in the video. I am just saying that she has batter kit than some of the champs HH said as decent/not food.
@@rahulparamanik2047 You initially suggested a warmaster bonus, which implies lvling her to 60, thats what i was replying to really. Aside from that everyone has a different roster of champs and early on you might find yourself in need of her skill, that kinda goes for alot of these "food" rares.
I'd say, there are a few rares that you marked as"food" unfairly. But that's mostly for early-mid game, or they need some really good setup. Like Judje for example: his A2 with his passive works similarly to Kantras' AOE, with much lower chance ofc.
Myrmidon ain't food imo. Probably one of the best banner lord champs. Aoe decrease attack and brings ally protect. Not a bad fw option. And heals himself.
Yeah, I imagine some of these champions could be handy early game or in FW when options are limited. But early game players might gloss over them. I pulled a lot of decent champions early game, but didn't really understand how useful they could be in specific content.
Banner lords is weak faction so chavalier and myrmidon as a def champions are decent as a fw champs. Definitly they are usable up to lvl 50 and mid tier fw.
I was also a bit shocked when he said she's food. She's my first and only 6 star so I have a lot of love for her. I can't get Kael to work as well as her.
Faction Wars and Free to Play accounts are a great way to appreciate some of these underrated rares. Remember that skills don't tell the whole story. Some of these guys who have crappy skills have monster multipliers. I wish Plarium put the multipliers in the game so we could evaluate those as part of our decision making.
@@evalzeyn9730 You have probably already figured it out, but each champion has an invisible factor, or "multiplayer", that is multiplied against their attack to determine how much damage they actually do. ayumilove.net has the multipliers for each champ datamined if you want to check.
I wouldn’t say Grappler is food, he is decent for early game clan boss, weaken, poison and shield/reflect damage. Also good for fire knight, both hits are multiple and a reflect damage. He hits fairly hard too.
If it wasn't for that dog gormask I wouldn't have been able to get through more than half of the game that I have I've had him since the beginning and I have him built up pretty high and his hits are extremely extremely extremely powerful He's taken down levels that are 300 or bigger he is pretty crazy strong I love him I am actually pretty shocked that nobody really talks about him
I Think what HH was saying if you’re FTP and/or Early to Early Mid-Game (Level 25-40) then A Lot of those were Viable options. It’s AFTER that they become almost useless and not worth your Resources. GL
Steadfast marshall actually can work really well in early CB team if you make Him very slow to go right before CB , since he has aoe veil buff Elhain isin't food if you build her with Poison set , YES POISON SET , learned that from MURDERINC .Or you can build her as a nuker with full Cruel Set but that's for endgame. You should recheck on Grappler , he's great in Fire Knight if you don't have Fellhound Master Butcher actually really good if you build him with ton of hp and provoke or frenzy set.
@@JAYK47 They both do 2 buff steals, though mystic hand also puts up block buffs. MH also comes with a bit of base accuracy which helps a bit, especially if we're talking new people needing to rely on rares.
Hilarious. “Harrier from One Direction..” lol. 100% agree with your assessments. For uninitiated, when HH says somewhat food, means the champion is probably good for up to early to mid game.
I love preserver, she's perfectly balanced and is great at double tapping out anyone left after nuke. I dunno at all why I seem to be the only person who literally relies on her.
Preserver was one of my first rare heroes so I built her up. She's a beast in Arena allowing my 33k team to take on 38k teams since I can turn deny their nuke and snipe the kill. It's all free to play and bronze league, but I find it amazing. If I ever get a 2nd would be great for tag team arena I think.
Hello, if i remeber correctly, in your spider videos you called Acolyte (knight revenant) a very useful champ and now food. Anything changed about him?
As usual of plarium he is horribly slow for a support..because he has a good utility kit... I exactly did the same as you... But, the damn anointed /mystic/ and that ogryn glass cannon with very low % to steal.... All are trash somehow. I got Pydema a week ago so trashed mystic and anointed that i rerolled... Kept anointed for fire knight blue (11?) just for his turn boost/ affinity.... For all mid players as myself within 5-4 star gear... Percentage based speed is key.. Now back to figuring how to get legendary books for lyssandra!!! $$
One thing to keep in mind is that some rares have hidden value depending on who you team them with. For example, Skullsworn's value goes up dramatically if he's paired with Skull Lord Vargall (SLV has a passive that revives Skullsworn on every turn).
Dude Courtier is actually really really good! You did not go through his skills and I guess I'll tell you: his A1 has a chance place a freeze. His A2 hits 3 times and each hit can remove a buff. And his A3 attacks all enemies 2 times and places 30% decrease speed. He's not trash. Also Madman is a useful damage dealer and can be good for spider as well. And Master Butcher is also quite good with his passives. Chaplain is also a decent to good healer. There are others that I would call out but they're close to average. Anyway I'm shocked that you said Courtier is trash. (But then again you didn't even look at his skills)
what faction? Banner lords? Naaa he's trash. Your better off with Elhain, Dupe Kael, Tender Rel, shit like that...Not a garbage tier early game character.
@@TheRealDirtySkillz I was mainly talking about for Faction Wars I think. However alot changed since then and alot has been added since then as well. I ain't played Raid in months and I was free to play when I did play it so I had to rely on rares regardless. And the comment that you replied to is a little over a year old. And I don't remember what video that it's attached to. Anyway I don't really care about the trash talking of any champions anymore whether good, bad, or in between. Long story short: people can build what they want and how they want! Good or bad it's up to the player and everyone has opinions on any champs. Some people say trash others say amazing it depends on how you look at it. However they've so much since then that I don't even know about you may be right and he may be trash now. Also Elhain, Kael, and Tayrel and not Banner Lord they're Dark Elves and High Elves. But I no longer play the game so I wouldn't know lol! I hope you have better luck than I did! Have fun and take care!
Fortunately that's not true. Even ones he labeled as food are good. My faves are bellower, coldheart, haruspex, gladiator, and mystic hand. For Starter I choose aathel or galek.
Some pretty shit advice overall for beginners and even early midgame. Many of those rares you declared food are pretty useful early on such as Grappler, Judge (hits like a truck) and madman. If you are a beginner, ignore pretty much everything he has said in the above video, you will regret it very quickly.
You are right...Sorta. I think what he meant is after say Mid-Game and beyond they aren’t very viable. To a FTP or early to say early Mid(Level 30-40) a Lot of those Are valuable. However not very useful after that.
Actually, as a beginner (especially F2P) the only things you need in this game are your starter champ, Warmaiden, High Kathun and Armiger. Then You can throw in other random heroes if you can find very good ones for specific areas (which, in the rare category, are basically those he pointed out). If you're F2P and can't spend hours a day just farming to level up 1* and 2*, you can live without all those "food" champions. Especially the doubles, since he advised to keep always one copy for fusions.
@@stefanoconrotto9998 yes and no. Some champs like grappler bring enough to help climb to fk 20 if you can't pull someone like relic keeper or fellhound (who are better overall). I have people in my clan who took forever (lvl 57) to pull apothecary
@@xBlackSeedxghost ok, I'll give you that grappler is the biggest "miss" on this video, because he's pretty strong in FK and CB. But you really need him only if you don't have Kael or Athel as starters. Anyway, until you're not in Silver Arena and Hard CB, I'd say dungeons are pretty useless, you still do better farming Campaign (my personal opinion, based on my gaming experience). It has taken me 2 whole months (up to level 45+) to start worrying about Dungeons and in the meanwhile i had plenty of choices. I do have Grappler in my FK team, but I don't plan on booking him at all. If I pulled a second one I'll surely use him as food.
You know what I mean - I feel liks you just say whe obvious things like warmaiden and marked are awsome - rest of barbarians are trash without deeper review. I really apreciate your work - I really do, but this time imho it was a video only for video, not for for something extra. take care HH! Best Regards!
Don't agree with Hyria. I used ally attack with Bombardier that has a chance of increasing debuff duration, Sethalia with HP Burn from basic attack, and Luthiea with poison from basic attack. Helps a lot on Clan Boss cuz I have only 7 epics and 3 legendary heroes.
I actually feel you didn't do alot of the rares justice, some rares you claimed as trash are actually very good e.g acolyte, heiress, hexweaver just to name a few
@@roymartin6763 I agree, typically the damage dealers and supports fall off they can't compete with epics n legos but some of the more niche champions can be used right up until endgame (dungeons specifically) and off course the cop out that is faction wars
Lol. I use Bombardier on Clan Boss cuz I don't have strong poison champs and 3 out of 11 hits with basic skill allows to increase duration of debuffs by 1 turn each. Can't say that it's completely trash.
Guardian is actually pretty good in faction wars when you're facing several Valkyries. He places a block buffs debuff and it's hilarious to watch the Valkyries waste their ability while under block debuff.
Super useful vid for those of us looking to thin out list of rares. Check the list of rares to keep in the comments. Its earned a place on the whiteboard in front of the computer where i play. This helped me early game to figure who to focus on. And mid game who to keep for faction wars content. Thanks for the info. Wish you'd update this video to current game and factions. It's still really relevant for a bunch of us.
You know what makes me really mad? THAT I FED RUNIC WARDER AND BULWARK BECAUSE I DIDN'T REALIZE HOW GOOD THEY WERE. Granted, that happened at the beginning of the game for me... And now I only get Stout Axemens out of the blue gems. I. Am. MAD.
Couple points - Elhain - enough crit, all her attacks are 2 hitters including her A1, making her decently useful in fire knights early, and still has solid damage in to mid/late when built for it. She's actually done some work for me in cursed/stun sets. Warpriest - I have seen some absolutely brutal ones out there. Like - I think 'oh there team is this, that, a Warpriest and this, I can take it' - only for her to eat all the damage and start freezing people. May have been luck but between CA and a relentless set dude froze my whole team. Mystic Hands - Actually - he's excellent for Magic Keep till you get someone like Rhazin or against certain teams. Arcanist - actually works well with Ultimate Galek for spider, goes before him means he doesn't have to wait a turn, and you can get away with slightly lower C.Rate. Not quite straight to the bin, but not amazing unless paired with the right people. Theurgist - ma be small version but tosses out increase ATK and DEF for all, and a turn meter boost, albeit random anytime she uses her A1. Magus - A1 has 50% chance to stun booked, 100% chance AoE big poison, AoE hit that heals. Plus 16% boost for Arena especially early isn't bad. She can do some work.
Good video. The problem, however, is that outside of around 6-7 rares you won't actually waste the resources leveling them to 60. Which for the most part makes them useless. Bellower, Frozen Banshee, Kael, Warmaiden, ColdHeart, Apothecary, Reliquary Tender are about the only ones really worth it in the long run. Even these could be reduced to Apothecary/Coldheart as the only definite 60ies.
I can not believe you dissed Master Butcher in this vid. That guy teamed with Ursala is an almost unkillable team. Many people don't understand that if Butcher goes down, and nobody else is dead yet - then the *next* person to die will be revived with 100% HP. I am FTP, and master butcher is end game viable.
I very rarely watch videos regarding raid, but this appeared in RU-vid list and with interesting header I decided to take a look at this one... Well, I've heard a lot from my clan mates that "Hell Hades is great, watch his videos and you will learn a lot", but this video actually says pretty opposite. It's absolutely unprepared and therefore misleading. It's visible that HH doesn't know/remember at least half of these rares (and this I can understand), but for them he gives an opinion just by quick (very quick I'd say) looking through skills, not reading them in details. I'd say that going so quickly being unprepared forced HH to make at least 2-3 mistakes with sending good champs to trash. I really don't know how good other videos from HH are, but this one... "kinda trash" (and this is only my opinion :) )
HH could you take a look at the uncommon "Redeemer". Her A2 "Elven Blade" hits incredibly hard. My F2P wont allow me to max her out to test her max capability but I believe she has huge "meme potentiall" as a single target nuker. Maybe its something you could work with!
No one mentions Treefeller. She has decrease ACC, one turn (2 hits) poison placement (for each hit) (works excellent with Frozen banshee) and she has 70% bomb. She does much more damage than Warmaiden, I have tested them both in many situations and Treefeller beats WM by many thousands despite WM hving better gear on her. She is a better option than warmaiden especially when paired with Frozen Banshee as Treefeller puts out poison hits all the time.
sorry HH but the advice to keep a copy of "trash" rares no longer holds up. Paylarium has shown time and time again that they are not gonna play along with this. Just look how many Fusions lately required new champions or multiple copies of champions. So instead of crying because you fed them, you cry because every new Fusion shows you how much resources and room you are wasting for nothing. That is NOT gonna change, Paylarium is doing this on purpose! they want people to spend on their Fusions.
I am awful about saving a copy of the worst rares. I'm 120ish days in, refuse to pay attention to fusions (despite the fact I've yet to pull a leggo) until I have 10 or so six star champs (have 6 now)- it seems like you cant do fusions and regular progress at the same time unless you have money to burn, and I dont. So I will worry about them later. Vault space is an issue, sometimes ya just gotta eat em, nom nom.
Not sure why you mumble and whisper when you're answering except for when you say something is S tier. Did you even give an answer on Barbarian for instance? Also is this only applicable for end game? Are 90% of rares literally food out of the gate?
Rares aren't trash I've even climbed Doom Tower with Rares my best Clan boss champions are rares and even the Food rares aren't trash because food isn't trash.. I am STILL developing food for my first ever rank 6 Legendary demon spawn Sicia....
I still not understand why Chevalier is not considered a good champ ... his skills are awesome... :/ And what about greybeard : "S tier" but not even ranked in the gdoc ... :/
Even if a champion is food I don't call food trash because I work VERY hard to make high quality food as its the only way to upgrade champions and the height of it is the Legendary and other rank 5 champions to make them reach potential so. Even calling food Trash I find is a very harsh way of putting it.
You say you have a Graybeard guide but I can't find it, Google and RU-vid come up empty, all I can find is Gnarlhorn... Which has a guide on your Excel sheet, nothing for Graybeard though...
Honor guard has a skill leveled 100% chance of a block buffs debuff for two turns and a skilled up 75% chance of stealing two random buffs from an enemy, how can this be dismissed as food?
All I need is a damn spikehead to fuse rhazin! Of course Plarium isn't going to give me the worst rare and actually help. If I didnt need him if have pulled him 45 times this month!
Its not worth playing around with demonspawn dogs...cause IT actualy doesnt ignore defense...as it says ... text is wrong... here is picture ibb.co/m6BccK4
Chevalier food!!! I have him at 60 for arena as he is one of best rares for dealing with block damage...plus many rare are needed for Faction crypt as free to play accounts lack high end champs
Is this list optimized for the newest version of RAID or do you have an update list? Are you going to make an addendum video for this or is there a document form list with the current champ roster that you can share? Thanks.
