Watch the original trailer. It was longer amd had roughly tge same amount of scenes. The difference is you can now go on RU-vid and rewind it and pick it apart. Back than, you only saw the trailer in the theaters.
This is exactly why modern trailers (and most modern movies) are terrible. This trailer does not tell a story or give you any idea about the movie... Quick cuts of nostalgia do not make a good trailer. Movies with quick cuts are lazy!
You see, on one hand we have people like you complain about "nothing being told", on the other hand, we have people who complain "everything is spoiled". It just goes to explain why audience feedback should never dictate ANY art making. Thank you for your comment.
