Lifelong Rams fan here... my brother is a Raiders fan so I keep a passive on on the Raiders as well. Koonce has TREMENDOUS bend, similar to Von Miller so yeah, I agree he's about to breakout in a BIG way and if he can remain relatively healthy, then yeah... stardom is in his future.

Even in the first half of the season he was getting a lot of pressure but he just wasn't getting home, and in limited snaps as well. His problem early is he was a little undersized and struggled against the run but he worked on his body and is no longer an issue. This is the last year on his contract and the Raiders would be foolish to even let him test the market, but if they do he's going to get a huge contract from somebody.

Anything less than top 5 is a letdown I got high expectations for them especially with the dline

I believe we need a shutdown corner for us to be the best defense. We should have the best d-line but we’re missing a shutdown corner and a solid linebacker

@charleswinklerjr.2253 So, are you speculating that a 3- year extension is in the Cards.? I hope so. I read somewhere, that the Market Rate for him would be $12 million... If Raiders could get a deal before the 2024 season @ 3years/$15million per year. Raiders need to sign around 5-6 players to maintain a Top Defense. @@charleswinklerjr.2253

Third best edge, but he's Malcom in the middle. He has Mack style so I expected three to four forced fumble sacks.

I firmly believe Malcolm Koonce can get 20 sacks in 2024. I believe that this defensive line can break the all-time sack record, and #MaxxCrosby wins DPOY 🏆. I was hoping the Raiders would sign Koonce to an extension before he balls out this year.

If we're being honest...... there's time Koonce looks like a better player than Max. I'm not saying he is, but it's something to think about and watch this season

When Koonce gets home, it's more violent than Maxx at times because Maxx's reach, he's like a vacuum, anything close your going down. Koonce learning from Maxx is an example of Maxx's value
