After two months in Spain I'm finally back in France. As my friend Stephanie was visiting the amazing Ed and Anna in Bordeaux I took the opportunity to kill two birds with one stone and fly to Bordeaux for a long needed catch up.

German pancakes! I worked at a deli with a gentleman named Gunther, from Germany, who taught me how to make these. They were very popular with our customers. He made a few things that were very special and that I sincerely miss - he made his own sausages and bratwurst, wonderful Split Pea soup and German Potato Salad, as well as the Pancakes. I really miss those. Thanks for the reminder - just seeing the plate sent me back 20 years to a really good memory.
I absolutely love that you highlighted a Canadian wine! They are less than 2 hours from us and Ontario wines can definitely compete on the world stage of wines! Also, from watching your vlog I have learned that our weather and seasons are very similar! I have noticed that we have all the exact same wild flowers, weeds, trees, it's quite amazing!
I normally don't comment on videos. But I had to comment on this one! I live in the Napa Valley in California and work in the wine biz. It was so much fun to see you in the caves and to see what bottles you opened! WOW I wanted to be there too...especially for the 05 Merlot. I love Merlot!. Maybe some day I will come to visit. I hope you can come to Napa some time and taste our wine. I am in the process of creating a RU-vid channel that will focus on wine, wine tasting and the food of Napa Valley.
