I respect not wanting to have this patched, since it's hard to pull off and also very rewarding, but I'd hamper a guess that since it ignores most of his mechanics, it's going to be addressed. Great video regardless!
yea I mean it's not like this is a safe spot where you put in a small effort for complete safety. Though mage running olm isn't that hard once you know what you're doing this is similar in that it's a rhythm to follow and requires a lot of effort to keep up and is complete failable and can be punished when you do mess up
@@ahuehuehue4147 they could just make it so he switches attack styles after a set timer instead of after a set number of attacks. But i bet they'll just keep it and make it a combat achievement
Just a quick heads up, this has been slightly adjusted in the latest patch Additionally, an incredibly creative, tick-perfect kiting tactic known as ‘the butterfly method’ recently surfaced, allowing super-skilled players to take 0 damage and avoid all of Akkha’s special attacks. The method requires some pretty precise clicks, and we’re definitely impressed by the ingenuity, so we’re not removing it entirely. That said, we don’t want to negate the fight completely (or negate the effects of Invocations), so after a short while Akkha will switch things up a bit. Akkha will change styles if he hasn't swapped for over 60 seconds. We apologise to any would-be lepidopterists out there!

5 tick? Do you think that makes volatile/eldritch nightmare staff bis with no shadow? Also wanna hear your thoughts on eldritch + lightbearer for slayer/bossing sustainability.
Unless you wanna bring a whole mage switch (assuming your not using magic already) your better off with just a SGS but, Eldritch plus lightbearer could be crazy for inferno though and could be good in places where your using the new staff.
I doubt they'll patch this. Given that Akkha has special movement & attack mechanics this almost seems intended. If Akkha acted like a normal NPC this tech simply wouldn't work. It feels intended. Had Jagex just made Akkha path find & attack like normal, none of this wouldn't have occurred.
Are you new to this game. Jagex creating unintended game mechanics that are borderline bugs is kinda what the game is all about. I highly doubt someone at jagex found this out ahead of time
Can we really call it “smart pathing” if his pathing keeps him from attacking. Well us players sure can, we’ll just keep letting him thinking he’s smart
Funny thing is that this was *just* patched. If Akkha doesn't change his combat style for 60s, he'll change on his own. So, you can still negate the damage in his melee phase, but you still must deal with his ranged and mage phases.
Does RuneLite seriously have custom MES now? Wow. I've been taking a few months break from the game after leagues and was worried about the lack of OPRS/other runelite forks with QoL plugins. Shame it took few years for RL to adopt them. Seems like were in a good place now with 3rd party clients.
Gnomonkey or chat, what causes the awoken warden to throw out the colored sword projectile? The only way I've gotten to it do it consistently is walking under it, but once in awhile it will throw one at me even at a distance. It disables protection prayers when the projectile starts, and maybe needs to be prayed melee against? Wdr doesn't even list this as an attack it can do and I've seen it maybe 8 times at ranged in 50 normal kc
its a special. same as him throwing out the Basilisk Knight freeze attack. It disables your prayer and needs to be prayed accordingly. Theres 3 types, just like Olm. Melee is the red sword. Mage is the blue ball. Range is the white arrow.
How are you clicking through the shadow to hit the tile and other times you click and it attacks the shadow? Is that what shift click walk here is for?
I hope they dont bring out a combat task for this, avoiding interaction with all invocations as well doesn't sound like something they wanted to happen when they spent a long time making them
