Nice catches Jason! Weird lashup on that BNSF baretable...sounded like those Geeps were offline. Can't say I really like how the "Swoosh" paint looks on Standard Cabs...
Thanks Dan! The Geeps were on, you can hear their turbo whine, but they may have been idle. Hard to say. That GEVO is overpowered for that entire train, so they could be just idling. I like the swoosh though on them. Saw some freshly repainted SD75Ms that day too, they looked great... and no, I didn't get any pics of them.
Apologies, trying to type fast and not reading what I have typed. It should have read, "Nice Shots" that's what I get for not proof reading before sending. Thanks for the correction!!! D. Muse
hi Jason.. love the WAMX paint scheme... the BNSF gp39's look like they just got out of the paint shop.. love all the gons... awesome to still see geeps working the rails... thanks for sharing.. vinny
Thanks Vinny. This was the first time I've been able to film those WAMX units. I've gotten the older, all yellow scheme a few times, but yeah, I like this black and yellow much better. That's one of the pluses about Kansas City, still lot's of 4 axle power around from BNSF and WAMX, but also UP and even KCS on occasion too. They still even have the smaller switcher SW1500s and MP15s around.
Railfan Jason The same can be said for Texas, the DGNO, Austin Western, FWWR, etc. The FWWR will run 4-6 Geeps and SD40-2 on a single train. They have lots of SD40-2 and GP38s and 40s, as well as a few Geep 7s!
