I will really miss the old Deshler Depot. The drone coverage is once again amazing!! Thank You so much for your efforts and coverage of Deshler. Love me some trains 😊
Thank you very much Danny. I do appreciate it. I hope you enjoyed your trip to Ohio. I'm looking forward to seeing your video from the trip. Also, I sent you an email several weeks back if you get a chance to check. It was seeing if you might be amenable to me interviewing you at some point. No big deal either way, just thought I'd check. Have a great day.
That's my fault for not better clarifying. Your assumption is correct, the east-west main line is the busier of the two. I should have mentioned I was talking about the double track not the Toledo line.
Man I just missed you by a week! Lol. I just filmed in deshler as well and got to see a Signal Maintainer do his switch tests in south deshler. My only complaint though is that your volume seems very inconsistent very quiet some moments and extremely loud the next. Other than that great video
I wonder why there's nothing like UP's Global 4 in Joliet or BNSF's logistics park in the same area for CSX...Just massive transload facilities that sorta blow the doors off of scale. You figure CSX and NS would have something on that level, but they seemingly don't (I may be wrong). Excellent video!
It certainly does make you wonder. The only reason I can think of is maybe since a majority of containers come into west coast ports, that's why UP and BNSF have those facilities. With the continued and worsening backlog of containers of the coast of California, I hear more ships could head to the east coast. Maybe we could see CSX or NS invest in something of UP or BNSF's size and scale.
Listening to it again, it certainly sounds like an OWLS flange diamond has been installed. I will have to check it out the next time I head up there. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to do much exploring this trip.
