Hi Richard, Thanks for you comment. The tree was living for many years with the hole through it but now has died so I suspect this will be its last season. There is another video going up shortly featuring this line.
Hi Keith, I have built a super heavy bogie wagon to mount my action camera on which has proved to be a stable pltform to film from. Hopefully when the current lockdowns lift and we get out of this madness I'll do cab ride videos. Fleggy Beck is interesting as it is fairly small but has several features which would lock good on a driver's eye video.
When the line was built it was a living tree but it size and proximity to the house it had to be cut back leaving the stump. This has now become rotten and sadly won't be around much longer. It's tight bore means some locos (including my Leeds No1) do clatter their cab roofs on it but most pass freely.
