when they were talking about the future in 1995, if only they could see what was to come and how much pain it would bring everyone who invested in it and everyone who worked for it and the whole image of the rail network within just a few years... such a shame but a very important lesson. thank you for uploading this piece of history
I was there in 1994. RTGW was pretty good, worked hard at making the curate's egg of what RT was, work, under, at times, almost impossible conditions. I know the guy who procured this video and the production team. Iirc, we dismissed most of the video as a waste of budget and propoganda.
Quite a bizarre film in my opinion. It addresses what I presume are managers of each rail organisation as "customers" which had me briefly confused as to how ordinary passengers had such vast knowledge! Still, I can tell this division's credibility went down the pan following the Ladbroke Grove crash!
