Hello, my dear Kaat! I'm really, really impressed! Everytime you amaze me with your strenght and ability to survive to difficul conditions! What an experience....Bravissima, dear. You're truly an inspiration for everyone! Hugs and my huge like!Renata
Hi Renata, You know, when you're out there, you just keep going, not to many questions asked... 😉 But I did see quite a few pilgrims at the bus stop waiting for the bus while I did hop on my bike... So yes, maybe not everybody will continue through rain and wind... 🌧️💨 Thanks for your support! I really appreciate it! Have a great day! Kaat
Hi Kaat, you are awesome, biking in such raining and cold conditions. The view are pretty along the way. It’s great to see blue sky came out in the afternoon. Such great adventure❤️👍👍👍
Even with te rain, the views got beautiful when getting higher up. You know, when you're pushing your bike in the rain, against the wind, up the hill, you might wonder why you're doing this. But when you get there, the feeling is great, especially after a nice hot shower! Haha I'm so happy that I got to do this! Have a great weekend! Kaat
When you're on a journey like this, you just keep going. Stopping isn't an option and I didn't have to the time to wait until the weather got better again! 😉
You are a warrior Kaat. Cycling through the wind and the rain. Someone should make a song about you. The storm adds great atmosphere to the video as well. Great shots along the way. I'd love to exore this route myself. Maybe not on a bike 😂 but, I love the little towns and countryside.
Bravo to you continuing to cycle in the rain, wind and cold. Rain isn’t preferred but manageable. But when the cold and wind is added on, yikes! And I look forward to continuing with you as you backpack.
Great effort to make such amazing video, really appreciate your determination, fully watched, so enjoyable, thank you so much for sharing this bicycle trip in Galicia Spain, please stay safe . Have a relaxing weekend💘👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏
It has been quite an adventure! Especially when I had to push up my bike through the rain and the wind! But it also made a good story! 😁 All the best! Kaat
You don't really have a choice. But quite a few pilgrims were waiting for the bus in O Cebreiro in the morning. Pretty proud that I did go on my bike and faced the rain and wind! 😊 Have a great day! Kaat
Very challenging couple of days! Great job persevering through all the wind and rain and freezing hands and feet! It will be quite a switch to be on foot instead of on bike- hopefully you’ll have great weather for your final 100K! I can’t wait to see who joins you! 😄 Exciting adventure! 👌🌟🌟👍👍
It sure was nice change from cycling to hike the last part! 😁 And hiking in the rain is less of a pain then cycling in the rain. And hiking up the hill with just a backpack is also nicer then pushing up your bike on a steep hill! 😂🤣 Next week, the last 5 days of my journey to Santiago de Compostela! Have a great Sunday! Kaat
Kaat you are making me feel cold and wet, it's awful cycling in wind and rain so well done on this. Good move to keep Poefi nice and warm and dry ! Breakfast looked good and your journey passed through some lovely places. That was fabulous to watch and you are an inspiration 👍~ Anna
Hi Anna, thanks! It has been quite an adventure, but cycling through rain and wind does adds to the experience! 😉 I'm so happy that I was able to do this! 😁 Thanks for watching and your support, it's really much appriciated! Have a great week! Kaat
Great job getting through the biking part of you adventure. Tough way to finish it in the rain but you have to embrace every moment. Looking forward to the upcoming hiking!
Cycling through rain and wind, pushing your bike up the hill, it's hard but it makes the experience extra special! I don't have to tell you that. I'm sure you had days like that on the AT! Have a great day! Kaat
Amazing accomplishment in bad weather kaat. And poor poefi was a trooper as always ❤. It's been so dry and sunny here we could use this rain. Cold fingers are tough to deal with. Your warm bed looked good in the end
That was so nice about this trip, having a good bed every night! 😁 The only problem was Poefi, I always had to share with him and sometimes he snores pretty badly! And when you're on a trip like this, the only thing you can do, is continu! Although I did see quite a few pilgrims waiting for the bus in O Cebreiro! Haha. I'm proud that I climbed on my bike and just went out there ... 😉 Have a great day and hopefully we can send you some rain. It keeps on coming down here with a lot of water, even too much in Northern France and the western part of Belgium. It really has to stop raining there! Kaat and Poefi
Hi nice to meet you. Such a fantastic journey you are on and very inspiring! A such it was so windy and rainy it makes it all a little harder. We have liked and subbed to watch more from you. All the best Chelsea and Mike
Hi Chelsea and Mike, nice to meet you! It sure has been an adventure! Pushing up your bike through rain and wind is a pain, bit it also adds to the experience and makes good stories! 😁 I'm so happy that I got to do this! Have a great week! Kaat
When you're in the flow, you don't think too much, you just go and keep going! 😉 But I was happy to get my backpack ready for the last days! 😁 Have a great day! Kaat
Hi Simon, I think especially the weather looked like England! 🤣😂 It was a bit special pushing my bike up the hill through rain and wind.... It sure adds to the experience! 😉 I hope you have a great weekend! Kaat and Poefi
Hello my dear, yeah the water is same for me in germany as well, the jetstream brought us a couple of storms these last three weeks! I actually miss the summer to be honest as it got quite cool! I respect your motivation for still going cycling! But atleast the scenery is looking gorgeous!😊😊
In Belgium we have the samen, very wet weather! When you want to go for a hike, you always have to go through the mud! Anyway, pushing up your bike through some rain and wind sure adds to the experience and I'm really happy that I got to make this journey! And the weather, you just go with it... Have a great week! Kaat
Hello Kaat! 🔥🤗 We have been dreaming about Camino for a long time, but the corona stopped us, as did a lot of work in the company. Sincere congratulations on choosing your destination. And that's why we strongly support you in the fight against rain and wind for two full days in Galicia. Yes, it's really hard to push a bike like this. Take care our dear friend. Hot soup is welcome!! Only positive!! 🔥🔥L20
It was quite an experience, pushing up my bike in the rain and wind! 😁 I think doing the Camino is great, so if you ever have the chance, go for it! 😁 Have a great weekend! Kaat
Oh I felt bad for you. That was a tough couple days! There is a saying when people hike the Appalachian Trail: "No pain, no rain, no Maine". To get to the end of the journey you have to deal with the good and the bad. You're a tough lady!
I like that quote! And I think it's very typical! In fact riding my bike up the hill (read push the bike up the hill) was quite special as well. Also the area was nice, it must be beautiful on a sunny day! Thanks for joining me for the ride (push) 😁 Have a great day! Kaat
Hello dear Kaat! With such nasty weather and steep paths, you need a lot of good things for the soul... like hearty food, nice people and a cozy bed... luckily these were by your side, just like your faithful companion Poefi :) Groetjes uit Keulen!
All I can say is on the this one Kaat is 'hats off' for the ride. A wet and windy one but that didn't stop you. There were a couple of nice stops - thank goodness for them. I look forward to the last 100KM - should be fun. Oh yeah, what was the poncho? All the best. Mark
Hi Mark The weather is something you can't controle, so just go with whatever you get! 😉 I have a Zpacks poncho, that's very light weight. It worked perfect on my bike, but I found him a bit short when I was hiking. It has been a great adventure! Thanks for your support! Have a great day, Kaat
@@StepsbyKaatje Hey, Kaat yeah can't wish the wind away as I say. Ah, yeah it looks kind of American - I did actually think that. Thanks for the insight. Well, I'm keeping up - a great adventure indeed! Peace.
You are one extreme cyclist! That weather would have had me taking cover or calling someone to come get me! Nice that you ran into a friend on the route. Do you ever change your cycling days if the weather looks bad or just go through?
I depends. In springtime I had bad weather as well and I did go for a shorter dat on a very rainy day, but otherwise I just kept going. But I did see quite a few pilgrims waiting for the bus! 😁😉 For me, it was no opiton! 😁 Just keep going! 😉
When you're on a longer trip, you can't really always stay put when the weather is letting you down. 😉 And honestly, pushing up your bike in the rain and wind is hard, but it adds to the experience and makes a good story afterwards! 😁 Have a great day! Kaat
It was better, but not completly! But it's all part of the experience and often the parts that give the best stories afterwards! 😁 Have a great weekend! Kaat
I could have biked the last part, but since I'm more of a hiker, I asked my sister to join me to hike the last part of the Camino. 😁 So it was my choice.😉 And you know, pushing your bike up through rain and wind, sure adds to the experience! 😁 Have a great Sunday! Kaat
Het was inderdaad nogal afzien met momenten, maar het was toch wel de moeite! En eerlijk gezegd, moest alles perfect gaan, het zou belange zoveel verhalen niet opleveren. 😉
