Happy New Year and spontaneous camps are the best! Used to camp in the New Forrest on a whim and have plenty of fond memories of those camps. We have a 'new' tent for our summer camp in June, and it's a 'monster'! Thanks for the videos this year, the stunning scenery and the variety of gear you try out. Sometimes you show something that makes you think, now that's a good idea. So I for one will be looking forward to those 'gems' next year.

I absolutely loved the valley and the lake. I agree with being mad about having the area closed for logging for more that two years. I hope it is selective logging and not clear cut. It is always a relaxing evening when I get to watch you and Bruce or Bruno. I am so sad Bruce passed. I really miss him. Thank you for all the memories this year! Happy New Year!

The tent held up great loved the set up, but the weather is so unpredictable up in the mountains, it's crazy!!. Loved the mini bar, what a great idea for traveling :) I Love watching Bruno bounce he is such a delight to watch I just love him. My cats were watching with me and wanted to join him LOL. Happieness is: Tony "Doing it" for the last time of 2023. My trip around the South Island was out of this world. Started down the East side, worked our way around to the West coast . I was eyes open of the number of campsites, camping along the way. RV'S, Caravans, and custom made old school busses not forgetting the plan tent's. (Lots of them). I loved my time. Thank you Tony for your experience in camping in New Zealand. Regards and all the best for 2024.

Why go camping when theres a ton of people around.. to me, camping is an escape FROM people and to enjoy the solitude and listen to nature around you. Great campout as usual.. Love it, I’m from Mississippi we camp all the time,now I’m living in the Philippines I have a wife and baby now, been here 4 years now, don’t get too camp anymore but I miss it,

You should see Bruno while you were talking while driving to the campsite. His head was doing that cute side to side thing like was taking it all in. I used to back pack and camp out When we lived in Washington state. Back packing at Mt Rainer was wonderful.
