I love that he's letting you know that Larry Hall was the inventor of this system. I do the Larrys modified kiddie pool system. Larry is no longer with us but all the systems he came up with are being used by so many. Thanks dad for showing your system and god bless Larrys family i know they miss him i sure do.

When buying the fittings and hose they come in 1/4 inch inside diameter or 1/4 inch outside diameters. It looks like the float is 1/4 inch inside diameter and the hose is 1/4 inch outside diameter. When you make your product selection check to ensure the diameter base the same based upon this information. Example in this case change the hose to a 1/4" id dimension or buy a float with a 1/ inch od (outside diameter )bard. I hope the information helps you .The 1/4 inch ID dimension gives you more flow in a sorter time but buth set ups will work
thumbtacks to keep them down. Easy to move in case you need access to clean out roots. Maybe instead of full of large holes, do what mushroom farmers do and do 1/4 - 1/2 inch pinholes throughout the bucket. The mushroom compost doesn't fall out, but it aerates the mix and allows mushrooms to pin out their fruit
Great idea! Your dad told me about this vid. you made today, so I looked it up. (I see my house / car in the vid. - lol past the yard ha ha..).. his garden looks great/ thriving - and I was interested in this system he had going. When I see others' gardens thriving around me - it is inspiring me to get out there and do "something". I have tons of houseplants - and - none - outside. The deer keeps eating almost everything .. gotta get some deer fence and work outside. Gotta get beyond - the deer killing my plants phobia... I'm almost terrified to put anything back outside. hashtag gardening in the poconos.
the blue car? lol girl i learned the hard way about them damn deer. had to put up a fence to block them but it was super light cuz they get deterred so easily. even something as simple as a row covers works(i use them both in my house). need advice just let me know
@@TheAdhdGardener - going to attempt to put up deer fencing in the back in a few days... I know it has it be super high or they jump it. But maybe I can make it higher - like 7 feet .. there are massive pine trees in the back that i can screw it into or loop it around .. those little green rods seem to always get knocked down, and then they wind up pulling down the whole fence (from my last yard, I remember...). Does the black netting work good in your opinion?
The holes in the bucket it's called air pruning and usually add a few more it works pretty well they even sell pots that come apart that already have holes in them at the Grow stores
