My favorite driving conditions: A straight highway, nighttime, moderate rainfall and light traffic. So very relaxing, so easy to just let the miles slip by.
fibreoptik i don't know man. i don't think they turned on the heater if they did it'd be really foggy so i feel like its super cold in there. my car gets foggy so easily when it's dark and cold out but that's usually because i'm talking to the person next to me lol
I'm Korean and I'm not good at speaking in English, but I want to say Thank you to this youtuber😁😁😁 I always hear this sound when I can't sleep well.. since I was highschool student.. maybe for 2 years haha.. Today I couldn't sleep well, because of coffee..'^' then I came back to here! I feel sooooo calm now..💕 Thank you so much😁
Hey, bud, there’s nothing wrong with your English. Keep your pecker up. Haha. A lesson in colloquial English. It simply means, keep your spirits up. Have a great life.
because of my terrible anxiety, sometimes its really difficult to focus on school work, and i just wanted to say that this video has been the only thing that i have found do far that makes me feel like I'm in a totally different place, the sound of rain and tires on the road is the most relaxing sound and this is the only rain video I've found that has such good quality. thank you :)
I don't understand how people can dislike videos like this. Usually the titles let you know what you will see in the videos. When you notice that it doesn't interest you, you needn't click on it. I think that there will be certainly videos on RU-vid you will like! Nobody forces you to watch this!
Toby W. I don’t understand how people question this. In this case someone could see the title and thumbnail and go “no way someone made a one hour video of rain hitting a car” they click on it out of disbelief, question who enjoys shit like this and leave a dislike. It’s really not that hard to understand. I’ve done this with a lot of videos I’ve come across but I don’t really leave a dislike I just comment “this is gay”.
I think the reason we all watch these driving videos is because were searching for something in life that we haven't seen/found yet and this feeling is so therapeutic to us its addictive
It's weird that this is the closest thing I'm coming to car ride ASMR. Like... I love falling asleep in the backseat its so god damn relaxing yet there doesn't seem to be an ASMR for that.
I know what you mean, this started out as an attempt to recreate that, and then it started raining. I know what I want the video to be like. - Late at night with very few cars on the road on a highway. The streetlights passing overhead and changing the light and shadows in the car. With just the sounds of the tires on the road, maybe some quiet conversation that you can't quite make out. I just have to figure out how to shoot it and what equipment I need.
***** Yeah like.. all I want to hear is the sound of a car going down the road and all the sounds included. Voices are very hard to record due to clicking sound of whispering
Wow. I am so glad it has helped you. I still remember recording this video and how happy I was that it was raining and that I would get to share it with everyone.
Isn't it great when you find that magic sleep button? I'm going on 7 years for one of my favorites, nearly every night. Before that I had insomnia, it was like a gift from heaven.
I love car ASMR vids. They remind me of going on trips with my family when I was younger, falling asleep in the back seat on the way home, and waking up once we pulled into the driveway. It's a very comfortable and nostalgic feeling.
Because of lockdown I miss those days when I used to take my motorcycle for a ride just after the rain stops. It's really a nice feel especially at evening time. Rain is really a gift.🌧️ By the way this video is so good man thank you 💙.
Personally, I love driving in it. It makes it to where you're more awake and focused on the road popular to contrary belief because you already know the driving conditions are bad and you focus more because of it.
I second this, its the same reason why i prefer driving in urban areas rather than the country, in a city you're alert and focused and more in control, on a rural road its a lot of nothing and a surprise blind hairpin out of nowhere
LASER BEAK I will agree with you there is more in the city, but I disagree driving on country roads or two lane roads can be just as eye opening as driving in the city, also I don’t mean to sound rude or anything but on two lane country roads you don’t end all almost ran over by some Moran putting on their eye makeup while in the car I mean really?!!! Your driving focus on the damn road, save the make up for when you get where your going or pullover on the side of the road my god! I think some people forgot just how dangerous a simple thing like getting into your car and driving can be when you got people putting on make up and doing everything else in the world but looking at what the hell their car is doing. Sigh 😔 sorry for the rant just get under my skin when I see people do crap like that. Anyway hope everyone doing okay and staying safe out there with coronavirus still going on outside our doors and windows, city’s, towns, and countryside villages. Take care everyone and stay safe out there.
Am I the only one who likes reading the comments seeing where other people are from and thinking it's amazing how this one video can bring us all together
I have anxiety and tinnitus constantly in both ears for years, this is very tough and im often depressed. But this video is my favorite and it helps, thank you !
This reminds me of waking up early to a really rainy and cloudy day then falling back asleep to the sounds. That’s the best sleep, or taking naps when it’s cloudy/ rainy during the day. 😍😍
So nice to watch very relaxing to see they seem to b going down the same stretch of highway round the 18 min mark next none the less though very well put together
"I got a request to make an hour long version of my "Rain On The Car Roof" video so that people could play it and fall asleep." Woooaaaahahaha... that's a huge compliment! It's not my kind of thing but I give you a big thumbs-up for doing this for your fans!
Just wanne say thank you for this, i have a lot of trouble to fall a sleep and this realy helps me thanks againg(sorry for the english i'm from the netherlands) 💪🏽🇳🇱
In search of a car ride asmr... I swear if I'm in a car for longer than 1/2 hr I'm out because of the humming of the vehicle lol... But this does it for me as well, if I can't sleep... thanks I can finally get some shut eye!
I could feel myself as a little kid traveling with my parents and my siblings. It’s 4am and I would usually be the only one awake just to look out the window and find this same exact view
I am having nostalgia right now, when I visited grandmas house I would sit in the back of the car and sometimes it would rain and it would be like this. Good times.
Thank you so much for this. I'm transgender ftm (ignore the name xD) and as a result I get dysphoria a hell of a lot. It stops me from sleeping most of the time, but this seriously helps. Again, thank you.
+Beth Simmons I have social anxiety, and it often kicks in late at night because I start worrying about another social day at the university in the morning. Don't know if it's the same kind of feeling you get, but I just wanted to say, I feel ya! ;)
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. RU-vid recently seems to have upped the number of times they run ads so I think all of those ads were put in automatically. I have removed ads showing up in the middle of the video since it ruines the experience.
So I'm not the only one who has tried to listen to asmr while driving ;-). I didn't crash either, but I was a bit shocked about how quick and hiw strong the relaxation works even though you're concentrating on driving. Maybe ASMR is also a kind of harmless hypnosis?
Malibu Thompson be safe out there, I'm sure you're mature enough to learn your lesson. I think I would have texted my mom and told her I'ma ko since it's so relaxing
What setup/camera and mic did you use? Dash cam? Did you have defroster/heat on? The quality is great and i’d like to try recordings here in the snow...
This would’ve been great : turn off on to a quiet country lane past churches , graveyards and Park up for about 1/2 an hour listen to the rain and wind (if there is any) and off we go seeing Old farms ,deralic if possible listening to owls etc. Sort that would put any insomniac to sleep. I’m falling asleep, thinking about it.
