Bluegrass Giants in their early days. Soak it up people. This is what it would have been like to watch greats such as Tony Rice, Jerry Douglas, JD Crowe, etc in their younger years. This is something of epic proportion.
Love this stuff. Been one of my favourite songs since I heard Pentangle's version from the 60s. Great bluegrass number as well - and Molly does it great. But this is fantastic.
This WILL be looked back upon. People will remember when this group of guys stood and played in the same room together. The power that was created in this room.

I've been watching a few of these every day now for a few weeks, Im Dis-abled from an accident, in a wheelchair, in bed alot lately and have been playing along practicing some licks with you guys, and has been much fun and medicinal during a difficult time, on the verge of going nuts some days! :) lol Really, Thanks! I wish the internet was alive when I was younger. I'd be a better musician than I am. I'd also like to know the setup. I've got good mics, but what's the rest of the chain.
That was really good all around! Are you only using the three mics, or is anyone plugged in? I can't believe how well balanced that sound is. If nothing else, it's good to hear the guitars in a jam for a change (said the banjo player). :)
I love your videos, great musicianship and teamwork. I'm a bass player though, and I can never watch your bass player play... just the back of the bass.
There is some excellent talent in this group but only a few of them play professionally. Most have day jobs but that is the nature of Bluegrass where only a select few make it big..
