Glad you enjoyed it 👍🏻 and ah yes I remember Scottish rain all too well 😆 A few years back I went hiking up in the Cairngorms, in pursuit of Ben Macdui. The trek was begun under bright blue skies, but not half an hour later there came torrenting down from a suddenly blackened sky just the coldest, most cutting rain imaginable, under a howling gale which jigsawed seemingly from all directions at once, and this in August! It’s one magical country, Scotland, but not to be tread lightly…

If the view to the back or the sides is more attractive or compelling than the view straight ahead (or if a different perspective has the potential to enhance your mental picture of the surroundings, or to break the monotony of a lengthy stretch where the forward scenery scarcely changes), then that’s where my lens will go.
