i literally avoided shaded citadel because of the ones at the entrance from industrial complex, now i am where moon is on cycle 30 something after trying to give her a pearl not realising i have to do some other stuff first also i could have learned what scavenger trading and outposts were earlier on -(also the hell that i have heard is the memory crypts)- since i think they are a bit common in shaded citadel, and i went back and forth between the industrial complex, to outskirts, to drainage system, back to outskirts and then back to industrial complex to get my shit together and go to garbage wastes to where i am now
ty for puttin this great resource together i tried for like 20 minutes once to get the reindeer unlock as survivor thinking i was doing something wrong.
I haven't played Rain World in weeks! I've been striving to get all the unlocks and achievements and it's super hard! I get so stressed playing as the hunter... You have got to be one, if not, the best Rain World player.
Did this just recently, tbh what helped the most was to re-visit each and every zone with survivor to pinpoint the exact location of hunter unlocks, so that when I play him I don't have to waste cycles searching for the item. I'm currently only missing the red centipede, the monster kelp and an item that I'm not sure of
@@onyxfangz9583 that's relatable, hunter difficulty is really on another level... And it doesn't help the cycles are limited, which means lost karma can have heavy consequences
Or grab a squidcada at the garbage wastes gate and wrangle it down through the pipes. They resist being dragged into water, right near the gate is a long flooded pipe. I had to use a rock to stun squiddy to get it low enough in the water to drag through.
I actually have a tip for the red lizard unlock: You don't need a jetfish. The leeches will actually weigh you down, letting you sink farther before you drown and more easily get the unlock.
For some reason I get annoyed that people can't agree on one single name for every item in the game. Some people call pinecone things beehives, other call them just pinecones, and else call them paincones. Guess it's another point of Rain World - everyone (supposed to) explore on their own and they can call things however they want.
Yeah, the wiki isn't maintained well enough. They can't keep every item's name consisted throughout the wiki. They call the explosive plant "cherrybombs" despite Moon refering to them as "branch of fire bush" and "nuts". That's what annoys me. And they really should rename "Rabbit Walkers" to "Raindeers" because that's what the creators of the game call those animals.
i was so happy when i had max rep with the scavengers and could just bypass the toll and grab both the unlocks, as well as grab myself an explosive spear and a bomb
The pole hop thing is so hard and all I get for is the jellyfish. But man I want to unlock everything. EDIT: Ladies and gentelmen, I got 'em...after two hours of trying.
I wish they could make an entire world in this game like the entire planet with no end to the things you could do and then I wish I could download my conscience into the game
That's something you can enter if when you're asleep, if you suddenly realize you are in a dream while mid-dream, without waking up, you can turn the dream into whatever you want and control it.
@@Beetlebub Sometimes I feel like it's best not to resist it, kind of go with the flow of the dream before you try and control anything. At least, that's what works for me.
An easier way to get the jellyfish is if you are on monk, and you crouch at the very edge of platform, you can use a spear and rock/rubble (you have to use both) to boost yourself across

@@marino7544 yep! The monk doesnt weigh as much as the other slugcats. I suppose you could also do this on a starvation cycle for the Survivor or Hunter
@@marino7544 Works on all three, the pounce distance is the same. The "weight" parameter only matters when interacting with other creatures, like squidcadas
If the water popper at 1:37 is too difficult for you it is possible to get it by having one of those shell things shoot you directly up, normally it would disappear when you try this but if you go straight up it'll reappear as you fall on it
I had a lot of trouble with that one, wasn't able to get it at the time because I just couldn't get the snail to shoot me directly up, the angle was always a little off. I guess I'll have to be more persistent the next time I'm in the area.
@@Silver_Sonic_23 I ended up just doing the downwards spear in the end. I could've used a squidcada but doing the flip and downwards spear just feels cool, and I like being able to master the movement system lol
If you think backflips are hard, you should do research on the other tech in the game. Most of it is significantly harder than just jumping after turning around

I was so confused by the thumbnail until i realised it was a slugcat with the icon of a white lizard next to it. It sort of looks like some sort of angry pig? Also somehow i have the Hole and Stove Pipes maps unlocked but not Shafts, pretty sure theyre in the same location tho.
5:31 as if i know how to polehop on pc (edit, 1 month later) ok cool and all, i used som drugs from garbage wastes and a spear to get it, felt proud of myself
you can also unlock the red lizard in the dlc now in garbage wastes when playing as artificer or spearmaster or both i cant remember but i think i got it as spearmaster because i remember hating going anywhere as artificer. to be fair i also hated going anywhere as spearmaster, but just a little less.
Is there any other way to get the jellyfish? I'm having a hard time trying to polehop and I don't know if I could carry an explosive that far without accidentally dropping or using it.
There is a scavenger merchant you can trade with for an explosive spear near the gate from shaded to shoreline. I think there are only 7 rooms total between the jellyfish unlock and the merchant, and you won't have many enemies to worry about.
@@turtletoad7725 I actually realized that there was a merchant pretty close to the jellyfish after I posted that. I guess I can try that method, I just need to practice exploding myself with the spear now.
I headed back to garbage wastes for a mushroom but there's squidcadas right by the gate. They don't like water but I managed to drag one down through the pipes (had to stun it with a rock once) and use it to easily jump the gap.
i have an issue in sandbox that where if i try to play sandbox it wont let me add myself to the game it wont let me play the game. i think i had an issue where i touched the random button in the game and it just bugged.
Where do I find a map for these locations, though? I can't figure out where to go on the Wiki. I found the page for unlockables but I don't see any maps to the exact locations..
Gimme a jet, gimme a fish, wat dat spell JETFISH! thank yo:> im trying to get every sandbox item in shoreline so i can make my own shoreline and because i love moon and she is kind and let me have one of her neuron braincells so i glow and i love how the jetfish are there and the big oceans and music.
is it just pc version that has arenas sandbox and gamemodes? because i have ps4 version and i wanna know if i can get arenas sandbox & gamemodes, if i can could someone suggest how i can get them?

It is unavailable for PS4 as of now. Developers seem to be making more updates though, so the next version (1.7 I believe) might release on PS4 when it comes. If it doesn't, you may just have to get the game on computer.
Update: i fucked up in not bringing a pearl for the scav toll so i died and lost my karma level so I couldn't go through that gate and this was on cycle one so f
On the way to Subterranean from Shoreline there's a little patch of it for survivor, for hunter I think you will have to look around in drainage system for it.
