The fact that Blinky struggled with round 3 for 6h 34m and JHK finding it in 1m is crazy. Boky 1m 37s as well. Edit: Zigzag found it pretty quick as well, so I think blinky just didn't see the road number and scanned.

I don't think that was a TV tower at 20:05 . It looked to me like a bird's nest..

Done the last map. 1) Japan loc, crossing of the 2 roads (136 vs 121) was fairly easy, though they have 2 crossings so I had to choose one. I could not identify anything along the road but still managed to hit 2 meter. Not so easy but doable 5K. 2) I see it's Guatemala, a big city with some business names around. The Miralvalle clinic sign hints at city/borough name but I haven't found it. I have no clue how is this possible without cheating. Got close to 5K but no idea how it should have been done without wasting hours looking for business names, I will check the vid. 3) Taiwan, road #8, bridge over river. Road turns north at the east side of bridge while smaller road joins from south, etc. Lots of small clues that helped me find this in a few mins. Easy 5K 4) Car meta and shadow hints at Chile. Aaaand that's it. Zero clues. Can't believe this 5K without cheating. 5) Thai loc (4th gen + thai script + thai infrastructure), that is easy. 2 city names displayed with distance markers. Road shape hints at a U shape turn. I didn't check multiple turns, I could have found the real one with the help of the little dirt road... but I assumed that road was not mapped. Well it was. It's an easy but luck based 5K. I almost got it but was off 5-6kms. Now I need to watch the vid because #4 is literally middle of nowhere without any useable pointers. Ah OK the video does not reveal anything :D :D

That Taiwan bridge guess at 33:33 was amazing. I suck at pinpointing and you just narrowed it down and 5k'd it within 30 seconds. Incredible.

I'm working on platinum (25K) scores for all explorer maps in the game and yeah... it's HELL for most maps. For example Mongolia is so bad, I can't even believe a silver medal without cheating / allotting a whole week / having very specific regional knowledge / getting extremely lucky with 4/5 Ulanbataar locs... The accuracy/effort needed for platinum is way above gold.

I'm going to try and document my thought process on some of the earlier seeds here. 10k, 1: Had good intuition on language and architecture, sealed it with the domain name. 2: Thought the language looked Cyrillic. Checked out the car and got close again. 3: Saw Polska on the sign and went Warsaw. 4: I knew the outside short dashes meant sweden or estonia, and chose wrong because of the seasonality. 5: Everything looked spanish with EU license plate, clicked madrid. Summary: 22.1k on this game. Should've been 23k if I didn't choke sweden. 12.5k, 1: Looked really weird, but landed on south america, clicked near the lake in peru and got super lucky 2: Figured with the plates and scenery we were west canada for sure, got the right road but was 430 miles away lol. 3. Town name was Ohiowa, and it wasn't Iowa or Ohio?? Bizarre, but Iowa was close enough. 4. I knew it was north europe but went bg instand of germ. not sure how to tell them apart. 5. Impossible round went brazil. Summary: 16k. Much harder game than the first one. Inexperienced players might not have advanced here. 15k, 1: Had no clue, but eventually it clicked and 5k because of the bus stop. 2: Low cam, easy country, thought it might be somewhere weird but didn't have the guts to guess there. dangit. 3: I had no idea, thought it could be peru, colombia, philippines, indonesia, and somehow i the right country wasn't any of those....... 4: I thought the thin road and rolling hills must be frace, ireland, or UK. Almost went USA. landed on wales. 5: Went Lesotho based on the distant hills. Wasn't too far off. Sum: 16k. Barely survived. Bad guesses on rounds 2,3, and 4. 18k, 1: Went west turkey, low score from the bad hedge. 2: Clueless, went Kalimentan, 3: Got this round based on the road. 4: I thought romania, bulgaria was wrong 5: Lost the challenge already, so I quick guessed the wrong southern hemisphere country. Zigzag wouldn't be happy. Sum: 11k, These rounds were brutal. No clues for me. Gotta learn some poles I guess. Thailand and Cambodia are kicking my ass. GGs.
