So just breaking this down, there are two explanations: 1- there is no game recap after the curacao round on his monitor because it's actually the second or third round - it's just a highlight reel he's watching back, and the recap is edited out. The second explanation is there is no actual gameplay, and that it's so entirely fabricated that everything is more or less a geoguessr-like video with overlays to look like the game. In summary, the video which "proves" he doesn't cheat for the REASON that it's not edited is either: edited or edited.

Bro, he’s not cheating he’s just played Geo guesser so many times he knows exactly where to look when looking for the answer and score. Human eyes moves so fast the camera probably just couldn’t track it..

Trevor Rainbolt gained some media attention for his ability to pinpoint the location of pictures taken from google maps. He released a video which showed him at his computer as he performed his tricks. However, I noticed that the footage does not actually match what he's seeing on his computer, meaning it is edited and he relies on marketing, a social media management team and camera tricks so that he could copy content creators like Geowizard and go viral and make money without working hard

Yes i could say it . The people who are in top 20,30 even though 100 of this game are definitely hack, because it is impossible to guess an exactly place in the world. If you dont believe, just try to take a pic from your hometown and send it to geo pro who are in top 20

@@Lotus2Eleven Since the time he went viral up until now, he's never played a competitive game on his account. He's never played alone on stream, not even a single game. Only with other players who are on voice call with him. Otherwise, it's just "challenge" videos which are heavily edited, and also every time he's playing "alone" in a video he's also on voice chat on discord. I don't think he expected people would believe any of those .1 pixelated videos but he also hired a social media manager to spam social media (have you ever heard of RAINBOLT?! - Can he find my dad? - He can find nemo! - Bro taught his own geography class)

they have an ear piece and you can watch behind the scenes footage if you're interested - also, i'm explaining that his tik tok videos are fake, edited together from splicing up saved locations and adding his reaction in production. It is still his grift, he knows some things to look for and would probably be or is an average player. Counterpoint: he and his friends spent two years posing as 17 year old outcasts in my stream trolling and making the entire community believe I was a deeply troubled cowboy with an array of severe mood disorders who was dangerous to engage in conversation

OK, I have now included the link in the description. I posted this proof / a much longer video with additional evidence, so to speak, nearly 9 months ago and I have no idea why this is now finding some attention. Since this isn't really a mission of mine, I just think he took advantage of the Geoguessr community and they deserve to know. But really, this isn't an accusation. The video is edited. Months of tweeting this to Rainbolt, putting it out there, nobody has said anything other than "what if who cares lol." There's no argument. It's edited. I don't and never expected to destroy Trevor's career. Just his geoguessr career. Because he's the worst spokesman ever. Because the game was popular until he destroyed all its momentum and left it in shambles. What a jerk. If I were his PR team, I'd say start saying "it was all a joke" now

@@eoghanley This is a 30 second video, on tiktok I've expanded it into a 3 minute video to expand on why the video is a fake. Actually, you can see the most obvious example in this video - the curacao location literally moves and on the game recap shows it was to the north of the island in the ocean. You don't have to believe me but as a master ranked player and film editor, I'd require an explanation from Rainbolt and I DID ask for one and was ignored

What would you like him to do to prove to you that he isn't cheating? Eye tracking software wasn't enough for you here, but maybe there's something else that would persuade you that he (or anyone else) is legitimately playing the game?

I'm thinking about the various cheating scandals for other games where top players from the community requested something like a livestream with certain conditions in order to verify the legitimacy of accused players. I'm just curious what you would be open to seeing that would, for you, demonstrate that he's playing legitimately - or would definitively show cheating

I accepted people to choose premade maps and join me on discord while i screen shared. That at minimum with a map i made and he could try playing 1v1 once in his life on stream. I think that gets lost in the sauce - he has NEVER played live on camera at the same time. Never in his life. Not one round. Fun fact

He really only streams the tournaments he organizes and will play live in those (I know that in some other comments you consider those fishy). I think you've mentioned that you consider zi8gzag to be a legitimate player, is that correct or am I making that up?

So I did figure out what was going on in this clip. I admittedly also found this odd, but it does have a rather simple explanation. You are correct that the video is slightly edited, but it's not to cover up any cheating. It's covering up him forgetting to press the "View Summary" button once he finishes the game. After his last guess, he probably got distracted and started doing something else before actually clicking that button and brining up the screen that shows his final score and map of all the locations. Without this screen and the final score, it doesn't even really make sense to upload this game. So instead of scrapping the footage altogether, he simply clicked the "View Summary" button once he realized he forgot, took that 1 second clip of the final screen, and spliced it in at the very end. He even then creates a very obvious cut in the footage to the shot of him saying "We'll take it" so it almost feels like he is reacting to it after the fact. Which he is. At 8s in your video, you can quite literally see him click that button on the screen recording, which doesn't happen in the cam footage.

yeah his obs skipped 640 frames, skipped past a screen into the game breakdown, and he simultaneously saved the location to "good guesses map" but he had to neuro-link to the game so the eye tracker would keep up. And that's the first 30 seconds of an egregiously fake video that wouldn't even pass the Minecraft leader board screening. Whatever you want

I'm kinda confused as to what this video and your comments are trying to prove. Some of the things you claim make sense (like him having a social media marketing team that hypes him up through astroturfing) and other things sound kinda unhinged and conspiratorial. I think you need better evidence. It wouldn't surprise me if Rainbolt's shorts about guessing locations with scrambled, pixelated images for 0.1 seconds are cherry-picked or even completely fabricated but showing that his video and computer screen are slightly off isn't convincing. I'm not a fan of Rainbolt btw. I saw his videos and thought some of them were so unbelievable I searched for proof that they were fake but havent been able to find anything definitive

yes i did. It's in the video description with an explanation saying the rainbolt videos are edited and you can literally see it say "saved to good guesses map" in this video. The only way his fans will ever accept that anything is fake is if he tells them himself - or more likely, they're trolls and not fans.

@@TomYnaa i never even played but its something i follow people do everyday , im deep into geography and know how the game works , and better how script works , and its not because a player is good and have wr that doesnt mean hes not cheating , look at riolu for example , this is the best strategy for you to assume hes not cheating when you see he claiming a trash bin in 0.01 sec and there's not even a trash bin in the image

The idea of the video is that you're seeing what's on his monitor, and if you compare his monitor and the footage shown, it's completely different. This is also written in the video description. Most people know that the rainbolt videos aren't real, which is why there's no attempt to expose him, but unfortunately this game has a very young community that doesn't really care whether or not something is authentic if they're entertained by it.

No problem, i'm happy to explain my POV and I have only seen the super viral clips he's made. You'd know better than me if they seemed legitimate, it's just that I think he tried to add over the top challenges to be funny and didn't expect people would take it seriously. @@Lotus2Eleven If he was legitimate he'd be in the top 200 players judging by edited highlight reels of a diverse world blink mode which makes as much sense as claiming that a high school kid who uploads trick shots is probably equally good or nearly as good as steph curry. Actually, since his average score is over 20,000 (it's on his profile) and he needs many attempts to get a good streak, he should routinely have perfect games or is lying. Either he just refuses to play solo, needs headphones, has to be on discord, and only uploads edited footage or is lying to make money from viral videos. We all agree it would be easy to fake, but you think the simplest explanation is that he's totally for real, only plays while on VC on discord and has never been filmed playing a single unedited solo game? @@Lotus2Eleven i don't watch zigzag, i was a geoguessr streamer but like every other geoguessr streamer i quit because a small group of players come in with alt accounts, cheat, selectively raid, and brigade. I'm pretty sure they had a fraudulent charity drive but I can't get contact info for that. They're horrible people. Not surprising since they are only in it for the money and tik tok clout Rainbolt's daily challenge videos have a ton of cheaters like bad at geoguessr and chumley is a 15 year old who stopped playing the game a year ago. Guess you missed the part about them stealing $1,000 in a tournament when stique cheated. Do you want me to upload the clip where world cup participants say they knew stique was cheating all along? I have it handy!

He was never actually very popular. THe story goes: during the pandemic, geoguessr, the actual game where you can move around to find out where you are, blew up on twitch. Streamers played it, sort of like among us. Unlike among us, the geoguessr community decided to band together and cash in on the boom, and they made fake tournaments and literally stole $50,000 or possibly $100,000. Every bit of that is the truth as crazy as it sounds.

they had fake competitors (google geostique if you want, the other two were "kurt" and "gauch") that won these weekly tournaments - those three won $50,000 combined Nobody has ever asked for the money back and i don't believe stique kurt or gauch were real people. Probably alt accounts made by rainbolt zigzag and at least one other person who claimed to be a 17 year old that aspired to be a content creator to evade culpability. while getting paid by geoguessr
