Loking at how far Siege has come, it's sometimes hard to remember when we only had the SAS, GIGN, FBI, GSG9, and Spetsnaz to choose from. Simple times, those were. Also, how about when you picked your operator, a full head to toe image of them was shown instead of a close up? That was neat.
I remember playing the tutorial over and over to really get a good grip with the mechanics and operators. Eventually I put aside my fear of multiplayer and just jumped into it. Damn it was satisfying to get that first kill in a game I barely understand. Good times.
OG siege players remember how the game was back then. We all miss the old siege. Change and update is inevitable, but memories of the classic siege will never be forgotten. Even more stuff now, too. Ubi doesn't focus on lore and is focusing way too much on balancing. Which is okay, but where is the line drawn between balance and lore? Y5S4.3 update raises a lot of questions.

Travon Gaines Thatcher had the picture with a shotgun, but he didn’t have one so people complained to Ubisoft and they gave him a shotgun because of it. No one used it because it wasn’t an option back then. I also said in season 1, not year 1.
I started in Velvet Shell. But my dumbass didn't know there were ACOGs on Jäger and Bandit. So glad my friend introduced me to this amazing game back then.
Even though i haven’t played the game, this brings back some memories about the memes and other stuff. This is also really good to listen to on loop, brings serenity to me.
Rainbow Six Siege is not just a game. It's an art. This game has its own atmosphere, its own rhytm, its own tact and understanding of an FPS game. You don't simply spray and pray... You play smart, you hit weak spots and surprise enemies. That is why this game is so great
The best thing about this classic theme is that it has atmosphere. It's foreboding. You can feel the tension. It's just so perfect for a game like this. Unfortunate how this game has changed for the worse.
Yeah like the point of the game is that a terrorist attack could happen at anytime anywhere in the world. This theme had the tension and stress that goes with that.
Certain video games stay the same but This game never did. This theme is so nostalgic to me now knowing this game came out in 2015. I remember playing during year 1 and just how the lighting, the graphics, the music, it all brings me back to a time where siege was a game you looked forward to every time you heard the menu theme song. I never knew a menu theme could make me this emotional towards a video game.
I honestly liked when you had to start as a recruit, since you were a recruit. And you had the option to buy only some ops. I don't like the direction the game is going. I miss the realistic atmosphere. Darker tone. Night maps. No paid cosmetic sets that are randomized.
@@galacticbananastopmotions7292 the gold edition of Siege came with all the core people. Thatcher, IQ, bandit, smoke, ash, thermite. Basically all that cost renown. The regular siege didn’t. 🤝 Edit: they are called legacy operators/ pathfinder operators.
@@jay_the_great0740 thats weird cause I got the version that comes with the year 1 operators cause it was on sale for cheaper than the normal one lol. I dont know if it was gold or deluxe or whatever but I know it wasn't the normal one
@@galacticbananastopmotions7292 I am going to assume that if you buy the regular DISC version it won’t come with any operators, and force you to use recruit. I think the online versions come with the year 1 and year 2 operators. Not sure.
Wait wait wait...Hold up is you clearly listen there is a shred from Chimera at the start a part of Blood Orchid at about 2:00 a part from White Noise about 3:20, Red Crow is in a few times, at about 5:00 there is a small shred of Velvet shell and probably many more. (I know that this tracks varints were the main themes for operation I'm just talking about their unique parts....)

I hope that their story is expanded on beyond just the events of T-Hunt, the Situations, Bartlett, and Operation Chimera. idk if people will ever see this but man this game alone made so many fucking memories and met some of the greatest people and I first started playing when I was in high school, when black ice had just released, I’ve been diamond I’ve had my fair share of aces but man, this game has changed so much and thus has life. I sit here 20 years old reminiscing about the memories with the friends. But it’s life right ? Thank some of you for the memories because you never know , I might have played against you vice versa, but ig it’s safe to say the ones who commented are ogs. Stay safe y’all
Honestly, I'm really happy, yet simultaneously bummed at how many people out there from year one playing this game aren't liking where it's going. I thought I was so alone in this. I miss the slow paced, tactical action. Not the fast based, head-peaking ways it evolved into, relying on technique over tactical skill. I've been wanting to make videos on this for quite some time so if yall drop your opinions here I'll take that as a sign of input to use as I'd love to have more opinions than just mine. And of not feel free to vent, cause I'm there with ya!
I felt the same way since 2020. I finally uninstalled the game on February of this year and believe me... I'm totally done with this game. I played since the Beta came out but it never turned out to be the game I was expecting. It is a shame really... But I'm optimistic about this game called Ready or Not.

I remember playing the beta with my friends on thanksgiving week. Boy did we have some moments that we still talk about to this day, even if it was during the beta.

They need to make a limited event or something where it is just the base operators on one of the original maps with all of their original guns and attachments.
I played this game before school. Afterschool, before I ate, after i ate, and I would play multiple games in row saying "you cant sleep until u get another alpha pack".... this game was all I had.. it was my life.
@@JohnnyHibner Yeah it's still tactical but rn winning a gunfight has more impact than using Thatcher+Thermite to plant the diffuser this is no longer efficient you'll get Gu mined C4ed ect... It's way easier to win by using a Buck a Blitz and some Lion you rush into them early when they aren't ready that's it....
@@djibrilr6s siege has no respawns, of course killing one of the enemy team will be better than opening up that wall, but opening the wall still makes more of an influence than say you killed the rook, but not lesion, the echo, the maestro, and the pulse
I wish we could all go back and play 2015 RS6 every day after school I hop in and just had some fun with my mates on Casual and Ranked. Close Tactical Shooters with Destructible Environments I wish there where more games like that it is my bread and butter.

I remember playing this with my cousin back in Year 1 doing situations to get renown and unlock base operators and attachments then decided to get this game for myself in Opeartion Health which I think it was Year 2 Season 2 and now it is one of the games I've enjoyed the most

It's been almost 10 years but the memories are so vivid. Thos 5 notes....Let's gather together! Old siege enjoyers! First time when the game was launched i didn't have money for a gaming pc so I went to the local internet cafe with a friend of mine and tried the game at launch. The maps? Old house and Plane at first! I was so amazed by the realism siege offered back then. I used to play call of duty back then and the graphics and realism of old siege were jawdropping! Not much tech back then just strategy and realistic situations! Nothing like the game today! I continued playing till 2017 Blood Orchid season! Then after 7 years came back in 2024! Sure to say the game is nothing compared to the old one!
I remember playing this game for the first time at my cousins. I liked Thermite and Castle and was in love with it. I remember the title screen of the pathfinders standing there. Sadly, didn’t get the game actually until Burnt Horizon 😭
Damn, I remember back when I rented this game for the PS4. It was so different to how it is now. Had a completely different feel, was more serious and dark. Less over the top skins and comedic uniforms.
