what i like to do is bring a bracelet with me if im going to be waiting for a while, like sitting in a car ride, waiting for an appointment, etc. gets them done quick
Hey, I’m early to a Masha Knots video! No complaints here lol. I think I’m gonna try this one out sometime. Seems like a good way to get rid of scrap thread
I’ve never made an alpha bracelet before (I didn’t even know that’s what they were called), but this was really easy to follow. You’re so good and helpful! 😊
You can also measure other alphas you have made and get an approximate measurement for how long a certain number of rows is to find out how many you need to get the length of the bracelet. Like if you do 16 rows and that gets you to one inch, and you want a 6 inch bracelet you need 96 rows, and since half are color and half are white you can just divide it!
Im from Brazil and i LOVE your vídeos! How almost everyone on my school doesnt speak english, they dont know where i got the patterns from, so my bracelets are unique!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I agree with everything you said except the part about this not being a good one for your first alpha. This was my first alpha, and it was very easy. Keep in mind for all of you beginners that I have been making bracelets since July 2020. Thanks again mash’s knots! I look up to you :)
Welp now I know what I’m going to doing when I have my two hour break tomorrow. Also it’s very hard to have a hobby like this and constantly want different kinds of strings. Why is it hard? I work at JJ’s (US people might know what this is) and this particular store in Milwaukee is right in front of one of the biggest hobby lobby’s ever in Wisconsin. And michaels is right down the road. And my tips literally go to string sometimes but I need to stop because I’m an adult and need to pay bills 😂 Plus I live 45 minutes from where I work so I can’t just go home so sometimes I spend my break up in hobby lobby.
i made this bracelet and i didn't use much, for the base strings, i used 25 inchs and there seems to be only one string that is bieng used, that gets shorter every time you knot with it, so maybe make that 63 inchs. (thats what i did) and only 5 inchs was left!
Notes : 4:13 backward-forward knot on the left for the edge string and a forward-backward knot for the right forward knots along the right edge of my bracelet wherever possible, and backward knots on the left edge of my bracelet wherever possible.
I do not make friendship bracelets but I love watching you make them. I have one question when you cut the assorted colored strands don't you worry about them coming undone
Do you continue to use the same white string (the one that was not a part of your base of 15) for the ends of your rows. For future videos will you maybe Please try to make your base strings a completely different color than any of the colors that you will be using, and also on most of your knots you can't tell/see which way (forward or backward) your making your knots because your making your knots lower on your base strings than what your camera is capturing. Just thought I'd throw this in there as a beginner those are some things that would have helped me with this toitorial
First time making an alpha and I decided to ignore the straight edge technique to not make it any harder for myself to remember the knots.......... I messed up so bad😣 next time I'll be a good girl and follow the instructions, I promise!
I remember watching this for the first time and thinking "God, I can't make this, it looks sooo hard", but know, 11 months later and some alpha experience I'm like "maybe, maybe I can try"
5:24 is that a fowards backwards or a backwards fowards? mines coming out wonky on that side. other than that, i love this bracelet. the only alphas i have done were really simple, like the flip flop and the wave bracelet, but i watched your alpha tutorials and then this tutorial and made it! i am proud of it! its wonky on the right side for some reason and its obviously beginner's work, but for my first *real* alpha, its great. (look at me being postive) also your tiktok! i followed and liked your videos :) k bye
Omg i wish i kept a bag of scraps. I only really started but still have a bunch of scraps. Now imma save them and in the fiture i will try this bracelet.
As I got to the 6th color I realized that the one white string was getting smaller. (the one that goes across each color on the back). Is that supposed to happen? And if yes what do I do with it once it gets too small?
Yes, just do the “colour change” within the only white row. Switch it as if you were to switch for a colour change in an alpha. I forgot to explain that part 🙃
Im making this bracelet right now and my leading string is getting very short and i am not even close to being done. How do i make the leading string longer?
Hey I need help! When I am making my rows the knots look like this; //////// \\\\\\ my knots are pretty consistent, and i've checked everywhere for help, can't find answers hELp!
