Rainbow Chamber Singers Tolosa Choral Contest丨Breaking the Waves, Jin Chengzhi (1987) 

In the autumn of 2023, The Rainbow Chamber Singers, led by artistic director Jin Chengzhi, participated in the 54th Tolosa International Choral Contest. In the competition, the Rainbow Chamber Singers participated in the polyphony and folklore categories with eight works, and won second and third place respectively. The total score ranked second among all 18 participating teams.
Breaking the Waves is one of the eight works. It comes from the first choral drama "The Land of Luocha · Chapter of the Mountains" created by Jin Chengzhi. It depicts the scene where the protagonists Gu Yuanshan, Zhuge Hongtu and sailors go to sea and fight against the wind and waves.
