This rare version of “Rainbow Connection” is slightly better than the one on the CD soundtrack. I believe this was the only time Steve Whitmire’s Kermit sang the second verse by himself.
Idk why Disney fired him. He was literally the only one who could keep Kermit's spirit alive after the tragedy in 1990. He took his own approach to the voice to preserve the absolute genius of Jim Henson. And that was how he payed respect
The Muppets got me through a lot but it was always Steve's characters that were his or ones that belong to others like Kermit that always made me feel good.
@Iiswired I believe so. I seen many interviews where he mentions how old he was. His first show he did was with Alice Cooper on the Muppet Show. They still keep in touch.
