Ironically, by letting Deimos help them, at all, in anyway, proves his ideology is right. The Rainbow he was working for in the past would never let someone who betrays them, who helped kill them, come back after capturing him. The two times in lore someone crossed Rainbow or tested them, ended with their deaths, those two being David Newcastle and Gabe Nowak.
Still can’t wait for the twist being that It’s OG recruit is behind everything and that he’s been sending Rainbow new recruits to infiltrate and recruit rule all the operators

Failing because you fucked up is one thing, failing because someone in a suit, on a AC and never having to pull a trigger is a reason to snap. I have a therory, what if the "white masks" and KERES are both "ran" by the same person or group of people. They create the white masks to reactivate Rainbow to see how they responed to it, then they bring in Demos, an Ex Rainbow op who lead the original team to dismantle it from underneath. But thats just my therory
But if they're just planning to dismantle Rainbow, what was the point of having it brought back in the first place? They would essentially have started with their objective complete.
What if the “big bad super secret org” reactivated them to gather intel on how the most elite counter-terrorist unit would respond to multiple types of global threats, only to USE that intel to cause havoc across the world. 3:03 I was waiting for this video because I wanted to point this out. It says Ash was born in 1990. But in her in-game bio, in Relevant Experience, it says Operation High Sun (2004), Second Lebanon War (2006), and Operation Orchard (2007). Given the years those Operations took place, I feel like it's unlikely that Ash was actually born in 1990
Rainbow is in one of those “make a deal with the devil” scenarios to aid their mission. They’ll never trust Morris after all he’s done to hurt them but if he’s just a piece to a bigger puzzle then they need all the help they can get into solving it
I think this is arguably better lore compared to all the other ones, but I feel like this is the first time ubisoft is actually heavily incorporating lore into the game with deimos, and I think thats what was missing, because it was making the lore complex and poorly written, because it didnt have any ties to the gameplay itself most of the time.
They should've had something impact the gameplay to make it feel really special, is still an operator like anyone else so it doesn't really matter how much they write in the lore
Seeing Deimos go on the field is actually the worst idea in terms of getting info out of him on the battlefield. If he is going to go on missions he has to be put with specific people, fenrir, thermite, azami, and any red hammer operator is going to rip him to shreds 😅
Don't forget the people he tried to blow up (Cav, Sledge and Zofia), and the people who wanted to kill him for hurting the team (Kaid, Maestro...). Ash is the stupidest character, that's why she has to lead the Rainbow Squad.

I agree with your last speculation about Ash becoming six, i always thought her as a leader and was surprised when she didn't lead a squad when the team split into 4 squads maybe they were keeping her out as a potential leader to the whole team.
This could also create some interesting conflicts with rainbow and nighthaven. Since ash and kali have beef, ash becoming the new six and kali being the leader of nighthaven could set up more storylines with nighthaven
3:40 i think the reason they changed the birth year is because rainbow was released 9 years ago so making Ash 7 years younger is just a way to get around not having 9 years of lore in place.

I'm starting to think that all the seasons and years are not-canon anymore, that the last 9 years of R6S lore was actually taking place in a span of 2-4 years instead. Deimos should be 58 years old by now, but his age got reduced to 51

Theory: Thermite will go over the line, and Ash will get promoted because of it. First, the direct evidence i have is the battle pass quotes; a few talk about how Jordan is losing is mental more and more, and there are two quotes that stand out in particular. the charm "Lost in Darkness" shows Deimos' mask next to handcuffs, and quote from Thermite about killing the captured terrorist. Another is the one quote of Harry asking his team to "remember what they stand for." Thermite killing the stopped threat is both against what this irritation of Rainbow means, and is as well a direct parallel to Deimos and his origin. Second piece is Ash's character arc. Ash is on red hammer and apart of the FBI SWAT just as Thermite. Ash also seems to have so parallel to Deimos too, but the character she more strongly resembles in my opinion is Kali. Ash and Kali have butted heads for a while is pretty interesting since they share the same goal overall. Ash being the new 6 only makes sense to fit the interactions already had. But how does Thermite going over help Ash? Realistically Thermite is the next 6 given that he has had the most commanding role since Harrys death, but his field work, and him recruiting an asset like Fenrir, a board would pick him first. Additionally, since Ash and Thermite have parallels to Deimos, Thermite going down that road allows profound character development and growth for Ash to properly step up to the 6 mantle and fill in the shoes of Harry. Thermite losing his mind and radicalizing will also emphasize Harrys philosophy and the impact and importance of his leadership to Rainbow was. Harrys focus on the individual rather than the operator might be what saves rainbow instead of what ends rainbow like Deimos believes. Maybe it can even save Thermite from Falling into Darkness. But Hey! Thats just a theory...

Ash always manages to mess up things, It's really stupid to let Deimos go on missions with them, especially the people who almost died. It will separate the team even more, it will be Nighthaven thing all over again 🤦🏻

i still hold my facts its the wolves legion from ghost recon it just points all the dots there it must be The start of the wolves was of walker to kill all politics bc they did his squad wrong and deimos with the same mentality is perfect candidate to join think about it its a big build up and i want to be it real with the crossover and thats how ghost recon get more players and rainbow more players win win
my theory: Deimos is gonna try to kidnap either Buck, Doc or Ash in some point in the future and use them as leverage against Rainbow. He won't kill either of them but rather once he gets what he truly wants, he'll disappear again likely back to his benefactors
Ok I think Deimos is the most cool "bad guy" in the world. Now I don't mean like the best I mean coolest. How he speaks and acts is super cool and don't get me started on the weapon.
Hello Kudos thank you for another amazing video as always. I do know that because of your lore videos many people such as myself a into the lore and I know its a lot to get into so I think a video series or playlist where you completely review the history character and back around of all the operators 1 at a time would be very helpful for such people. The in game operator bios only tell me so much about an operator like with someone whom I really love that being Ram all I know/remember about her is that she was involved in the tower attack and that she was raised in a fire department however I am sure there is more than that about her and a lot more info about the rest of the operators I dont know. its also a good way to keep up an income stream I think because that's like 65 video ideas in one concept
This reminds me of the new Skybound "Energon Universe" with Duke and Cobra Commander revamp. up-down with action but its the psychological warfare is what driving the comics. Good on Rainbow
I was thinking that since Deimos is in the games and stuff I was thinking he would do a in lore tk by killing black beard still going with the black beard rework and would fit in line with the killing rainbow one by one 1/2
And since black beard and vigil have a close relationship maybe a rivalry between Deimos and vigil break out and then idk something goes from there but I find it weird that vigil and Deimos look alike and even down to the gadget vigil counters him completely

They shouldn’t of revealed his face, at least not yet, not knowing his face, just knowing him as Deimos added to his menacing aspect, knowing what he looks like takes that away
I’ve been thinking, remember how it was said in the 2015 cinematic about how the White Masks were equipped with military-grade equipment and attacked Bartlett? What if that was organized by Deimos after he defected, or the very least, the people Deimos says are out to end Rainbow?
Deimos clearly has the same motives as the Wolfs in GR breakpoint, which is based in 2025 and before behind the curtains (they also have great funding)
The reason for the mustache is because his hero as a child was Bass Reeves a very successful US Marshal and one of the first African American US Marshals and dependent on who you asked would consider him ether a lawman or a outlaw the way he did things
Making ash's birth year 1990 makes zero sense. She is stated to have participated in the Operation "Outside the box" by the IDF in 2007, she'd be 17. EVEN if she enlisted in the army the minute she turned 18 in 2007 (which I doubt is mathematically possible) she'd still have to complete the 5 months of basic training, plus 22 months of specialty training. Also she was never originally stated to have American citizenship, she just moved to serve in the FBI during an exchange program (JINSA) so her nationality should still be Israeli. Btw a bit off topic, but nevertheless, I doubt she'd qualify for shaldag being a woman. This isn't a sexist take, I just genuinely never heard of a woman in shaldag specifically. They could've made her an ex soldier of the 669 unit, karakal or anything else that actually featured women during the time period in which she served in the israeli army. A lot has changed in the IDF since 2007 and a precedent like this is entirely possible, but having asked a few of my officers nobody has ever heard of a woman in shaldag.
I feel like letting Gerald back into the feel would be a grave mistake. You would think that at the first given oppertunity he'd make a run for it or he would lead them into a trap where the new Greek Operator (Who i'm theorising is another head of the Keres Legion) will be waiting. This would be really cool idea for the cinematic where it gives us a tease of future playable operators from the Keres Legion participating in this operation.

To determine who would be six that’s tough John Clark in the originals was politically connect to jack ryan the six lead aurot was connected to the us government Harry was through her. It’s tough to say they would use an active operator for six. If I were to choose who the next six would be it wouldn’t hurt to choose someone that’s connected to rainbow and knows deimos personally. Although I don’t think it would be Ding Chavez but someone from the past
I love how lightly they are taking this guy like he isn't the same deimos from before season 1, like he doesn't have men outside, like he won't magically escape to no one's suprise
If Deimos isn't the only bad guy, it means that he's the morally grey character, someone who you could get it at some point, but at the same time you question their methods. He's a rogue on the loose, the dog that broke off its own leash to chase its own bone and food.

My addition to your take on Deimos/Gerald not being the one who's in charge is, he's on the field too often to be a bad guy who controls such a big and dangerous force. I mean yeah he's the one who wants to hunt them all down with his Vendetta but being the bad guy and going on risky missions could be fatal wouldn't it?
