I like the reharmonizations. This works well as a relaxing piece. It would be interesting to hear Jacob use some of the repeated notes motif from the original in an original way.

Somebody, somewhere, needs to figure out how to make the top few notes on a piano not sound like somebody is hitting a cracked saucer with a wrench. I think I understand why this happens, from a physics standpoint. They need to find a string material (or something) to make those notes into something musical. When a piccolo and some other instruments play those notes it sounds great, so should a piano. All the beauty and warmth from the rest of the range of the piano just goes away at the extreme top end. The sustain disappears, as well. As far as your part Jacob, that was beautiful.

This is more of a stylization than an arrangement. You have deviated significantly from Chopin's 19th century style. I ordered the sheet music after hearing only a few bars, inasmuch as you have fully established yourself as top notch piano stylist and arranger.

Woah, were you classically trained before getting more into jazz, or did you learn Chopin alongside other non-classical repertoire? I really like the right hand solo at 2:38 - so delicate and warm, very harmonically interesting over the 3 chords in the left hand :)

I've recently recorded your arrangement of "Fly Me to the Moon", (you're welcome to listen to it on my channel) and if there's one thing each of your performances share (in my humble opinion) is that after I've listened to them, it makes me want to further work on my technique. Another composer who would sound great jazzified is Scriabin (if my memory serves me, Chick Corea once played one of his Preludes in concert). My warmest regards.
