إنها تمطر في ميلانو: كاتدرائية ميلانو، بيتزا سبونتيني، سوق عيد الميلاد، عشاء ليلة رأس السنة الجديدة

Arriving to Milano, the weather was rainy, we headed to Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Italy's oldest active shopping gallery and a major landmark of Milan.
At 11:am Spontini Milano is open, so we tried their special pizza that has a thick dough, and the lasagna was not the best.
At the Christmas market the kids tasted the Christmas pretzels, ginger bread and chocolate.
We had lunch at Obica in Rinascente Mall, real Italian deal, the pasta is simple and al dente, the pizza is crunchy and delicious.
For coffee we visited illy, we had also hot chocolate and nice light dessert.
For New Year’s Eve we stayed at the hotel and we loved it, we ordered some room service delivery while watching the celebrations around the world on tv.

Italian cuisine is a Mediterranean cuisine consisting of the ingredients, recipes and cooking techniques developed in Italy since Roman times and later spread around the world together with waves of Italian diaspora. Some of these foods were imported from other cultures. Significant changes occurred with the colonization of the Americas and the introduction of potatoes, tomatoes, capsicums, maize and sugar beet-the latter introduced in quantity in the 18th century. It is one of the best-known and most appreciated gastronomies worldwide.

Milan, a metropolis in Italy's northern Lombardy region, is a global capital of fashion and design. Home to the national stock exchange, it’s a financial hub also known for its high-end restaurants and shops. The Gothic Duomo di Milano cathedral and the Santa Maria delle Grazie convent, housing Leonardo da Vinci’s mural “The Last Supper,” testify to centuries of art and culture.
.
It all began in 1865, the year in which the Bocconi brothers opened their first workshop in the centre of Milan, on the corner of Via Santa Radegonda.
Today Rinascente has a collection of nine prestigious stores in Italy, occupying large historical buildings in the heart of the main cities. Much more than a "store": real references for the city and high-level shopping experience. Emphasizing on "for the city, with the city, in the city", Rinascente opens to the public like a window for the world becoming the stage not only for fashion but a theatre full of novelties, unique proposals and events. Each store proposes itself as a great house of brands, to offer a unique experience.
.
Via Monte Napoleone, also spelled Via Montenapoleone, is an upscale shopping street in Milan, Italy, Europe's most expensive street and the second most expensive street in the world after Fifth Avenue in New York City.
