Nicholas Moore 21 June 1947 - 3 August 2022. With the sad passing of another great artist and friend from old, my wife Susan put together this loverly video tribute.
Nicky Moore was one of the most Underrated British Rock and Blues Singers .
I first met and recorded Nicky in the mid seventies when he was with the Band Tiger. In 1979 he went solo and we called on some of the best musicians of the time to record “Raining In My Heart.” My good friend and partner at the time Lou Clark best know for writing the strings and choir parts on those wonderful ELO recordings and went on to record several albums in “Hooked On Classic” series. 27 February 1947 - 13 February 2021. The steel guitar on this track is played by the renowned B J Cole.

He used to play at The Wheatsheaf, Crowborough many years back. He was really good and sadly missed.

Hi Kenny, I'm Dan, one of Nicky's friends. Do you think your wife would mind if we played this video at the family memorial concert taking place next month? It's a charity gig, with all the proceed's going to Parkinson's UK.

Hi Dan My wife Sue would be honoured if you would use the video. It’s been in Suzie’s top 5 records for years and she plays it all the time, especially when we have Our Saturday night music nights starting around 9 until sometimes 3am. Nicky was one great talent and what a voice and such a lovely guy. Whenever I hear this recording I always think when I hear the backing vocals that Nicky sung them all, no computers back then doing one section and just adding them in on the screen, so “ Ok Nick, next track next harmony” throughout the song. He was a pleasure to work with and sadly missed. I will remove the two links at the end tomorrow, so it has a clean ending. Kindest regards Kenny and Sue.

@@denton115 Thanks so much, that’s really great. Please thank Sue for me too. I actually co-wrote Nicky’s memoir with him (hopefully I’ll manage to get it published in the not too distant future). He spoke very fondly of recording this and said how great everyone was. Including a certain producer :). Thanks again, really appreciate it. Many thanks to you both x

I would imagine putting the Nickys memoir was a wonderful journey. Last year I had health issues so immediately set about putting up a Blog about my time in the indusrty, which I am still doing.
