I know this won't go anywhere, because RU-vid hates me... but I just want to say, if you do see this, I know things are hard, and things seem really dark right now, but we are gonna get through this. I don't even believe the words I'm typing because I've said them before, and don't really mean it... but it doesn't make it any less true. Time is the band-aid that doesn't come off till you remember that it was there once and fell off along the way. This is one of the greatest ambience perfections on RU-vid. Even with the music, it keeps the music UNDER the ambient sound level so as not to be the main thing you hear. It's like the best of both worlds for those of us who prefer the natural sounds over music.

I come back to this video a lot. Like more than I'm supposed to. This specific video tends to help me fall asleep, it really seem to relax me and calm me down. It helps me not to overthink, or think at all. I also come here when I'm reading, it helps me focus on the story and doesn't get me distracted. I'm a rain lover, anything with rain really gets me in the mood. Same thing goes to thunder and more.

I swear: everyday I try to listen to any other ambience video... everyday I have to get back to this one because of its perfectness!

When I lived in Germany, I used to visit a coffee shop in Giessen called Mr. Jones. It's right across from the train station and so is a fantastic place to sit and people-watch. Some of my finest days was sitting at a table in the corner, looking out the window and watching ripples form from raindrops in puddles. Oh, I'd bring a book and intend to get some quality reading time in over a cup of coffee. But I'd usually watch people and ripples instead. If you're ever in Giessen, you could do a lot worse things than spend a few hours at Mr. Jones.

Some so calming about this picture, imagine sitting there reading a good book then setting it aside to drink tea and look out seeing the strangely comforting sight and sound of rain.

Three years ago, I began my degree and listened to this video for every assignment and every study session. Just now, I have finally finished my final assignment. Thank you for being my cozy writing companion for three long and busy years. 👩‍🎓💛

So... for lockdown valentines day, i popped this on on my TV and "transfirmed" my living room into a tea room for afternoon tea! I LITERALLY went the full hog, laminated tearoom open signs, silk table cloth, 3 tiered cake stand with finger sandwiches, cakes, scones etc and a pot of fresh loose leaf English tea and tea lights and candles everywhere... It was probably the top valentines days I've done 🤣❤ this film just helped transform the space completely!

the things i would do to have this. sitting in the corner of a coffee shop, cozy in a cushioned maroon chair with my laptop open, an open document and a blinking cursor waiting for me to click the keys of my keyboard and create a story. my journal open to the first page. there's nothing written, just a neatly pressed flower taped to the page and my name. taking a sip of my iced coffee, it's cold and sweet and calm just like him. there's a half-eaten buttered croissant sitting by itself on a porcelain plate by my drink and the soft piano music accompanies the pitter patter of the rainstorm outside. the windows are wide and open and light and i can stare for just a bit, playing games in my mind and wondering which water droplet can win the race to the bottom of the glass pane first. looking up, there are people. people i've never seen before in my life, and might never see again. i'll never know their stories but it doesn't stop me from making them up in my head. the barista, a charming young girl with golden blonde hair and deep brown eyes and a bewitching smile. the name, 'charlotte' was written neatly on her name tag and she wore a silver necklace with the most peculiar looking key dangling from the dainty chain. i wonder what the key opens. perhaps a magnificent mahogany jewelry box. or maybe it opened a delicate spruce chest filled to the brim of old love letters. there's a man who walks in, wet black hair and alluring green eyes. he wears a plain black suit with faint splotches from the rain. he adjusts his blazer and elegantly walks to the counter to place his order. a golden pocket watch peaks out from his pocket. a family heirloom? a birthday present? was he rich? he certainly looked like it. maybe he was the heir to a family legacy of business and riches. why did he look so angry? my attention shifts to another man, two tables away from mine, facing me. curly brown locks of hair and long lashes hiding his faint green eyes. bearing a white turtleneck and a black satin jacket and an old looking book in his hands and if i squint my eyes hard enough i can see the title, 'wuthering heights' faded on the canvas cover. i look at these people and wonder things. have they ever been in love? what are their deepest, most curious thoughts about life? do they ever sit and just... wonder? how many languages do they speak; and if they speak more than one may they please tell me if it makes it any easier to put their thoughts and feelings into writing? or is it true, that human thought and emotion is simply too complex to ever truly try and put into words? what was it like? their first heartbreak? seven billion different people could've been there, sitting at the other table, or ordering their drink or working as a coffee shop barista, yet by chance it's these people we see. how peculiar that is, that these complete strangers we see, walking past the street, holding open the door, handing me my dinner check... how peculiar it is that we have these opportunities to make these strangers some of the people we know best in this world. because that's how we all start out, right? strangers?

I have cold and flu due to dust allergies so just shut windows and drapes...burnt a lavender candle, prepared chamomile honey tea and just sitting with a cozy blanket...reading my book, sipping tea and listening to this perfect masterpiece. This is bliss✨

This is a great one! The beautiful detail of the raindrops on the windows, the gorgeous array of golden lights across the top (subtly swinging), that French press, the old-fashioned radio on the right, the touch of muted purple in the shrubs on either side, the chair that is such a satisfying shade of deep green. So sharply observed and beautifully balanced. I am adding this to my favorites list!

Since childhood, I have dreamed of having such a room, listening to the rain outside the window and sleeping.

I'm back at this video again, in late summer 2023, looking forward to cosy days like this coming in the autumn. I love this video and have it on in the background (and on my screen) as I am writing my Doctoral thesis. It is best appreciated on a dullish day (like it is today) with a pot of coffee and a cinnamon-scented candle burning. Divine! Thank you for your efforts in making this.

Every morning I have a cup to tea, and since I've found this I like to take a sip and close my eyes and imagine I'm somewhere like New York in autumn, with the rain coming down and I'm in some beautiful coffee shop looking out the window, the air is cold so my arms have goosebumps but I don't mind. I can imagine it... You're a young, new worker at the café you always came to when you were sad a few years ago. You just came to the café for your first day of job. You were working casually until it started raining. You loved the rain, so you came to a window and watched the rain, all these pretty lights and chilled, until your supervisor said that you need to hurry up. Your job became much easier to you in the rain. Everytime when it rained, you looked out of the window. It reminded you of your childhood memories, your old friends, all the happy memories came back when you listened to the rain and looked at the lamps in the wind.

Literally as the occupants and offspring of my household busy about their day around me, this is my office and my earbuds are the door XD thank u for this slice of peace while I work!

Humans are really great. We're troubled but we're good people. We really do try. If we don't, we're just mentally disabled or traumatized. I don't know what to do about those but over all we really do try really hard. I love you all.

This was my first ambient sound video and I instantly fell in love. I have since been on the hunt for other ones but nothing has really topped this one. I like how the music isn't overpowering and instead, allows the viewer to determine their own mood and feel for the moment.
