My number 1 favorite Rc ever, I've had one since it released and nothing has ever been able to take its number 1 spot for me. Absolutely amazing beast!!
People call it a ‘parts bin special’ but I’ve hardly broken anything on mine, and it hasn’t been babied. Incredibly durable, with the parts that _do_ break being cheap to replace or easy to upgrade.
@@falcondragonslayer For sure, all you really need are the metal driveshafts and you’re all set. I have the aluminum caster blocks front/rear and the aluminum steering blocks on mine, and after i added those it’s an absolute tank!
@@NotGavin Not even sure you need the metal driveshafts. I got mine 5 months ago and only broke one so far-and that was because the rear tires got clogged up with grass and the center diff deliver all the torque to the front wheels
The people Traxxas has to drive the cars for these videos are some of the best RC drivers I’ve ever seen. I consider myself pretty good at driving my Hoss, but couldn’t dream of pulling off some of the stuff these guys do. The Hoss is an absolutely amazing truck. Even though I got the wrong battery (35C 3S instead of 50C 3S) it has an incredible amount of power, and it rivals my friend’s Arrma Outcast 4S running 3S. I noticed the Extreme Heavy Duty upgrade kit is installed on this particular Hoss. Is this a hint of a new version that comes with the kit stock, perhaps?
You wouldn't be disappointed. RCs are really fun these days! You just have to be willing to repair it if it breaks, they're super easy to work on though.
@@bryndonsmith490 I'm loving it! I already had to replace the servo, but was prepared, haha. I also love being able to upgrade, I like that kinda stuff so this is perfect.
It’s got it installed in this video, which might be foreshadowing a V2 that comes with the Extreme HD upgrade kit. Or it could just be a way for people to see the kit, but I don’t think so, since they don’t make it clear it’s installed here (they don’t even mention it in the description). It might just be an Easter egg for some more knowledgeable fans too
Sold mine off last December Driveshafts are too weak and got sick of fixing them. Yes there is an HD kit with beefier driveshafts but $120 the whole kit and I only needed the driveshafts😢.
I have a maxx the thing brakes spurs , bulkheads, driveshafts all the time had to upgrade the driveshafts to metal and spur gears I have tried ones from a US brand and had many hot racing ones the motor mount is junk on the maxx
This would be an excellent opportunity to tell consumers these trucks are NOT waterproof. You’re misleading consumers by using the word “waterproof”, when 1) you’re NOT using a proper IP certification and 2) in the manual you backtrack and say they are NOT waterproof and recommend a full cleaning service after running in wet conditions. Using the word “waterproof” implies there is zero need for maintenance after they experience water. Thats just not true and I’m tired of the misleading marketing. Water WILL damage electronics, bearings, and tires (especially since Traxxas vents the RIM and not the TIRE, so whatever gets inside has no way out)
If you are good about taking care of you car and rebuilding it after every wet run they are usually fine but companies usually fail to bring this up, only mention anything in the instructions so they don’t get in trouble.
The Traxxas truck was really, really ugly at first glance. However, when I finally saw it in person, I changed my mind and bought one on the spot. It actually looks great up close.
