alcs are going into the 400s?! I thought it was 300-360 and then the newer p42s would be kept.

@@zostrelling_ yup now that 125 units are on order, the number for them will be 300-425

@@zostrelling_ well they added the additional 50 units to the initial 75 unit order around the same time 301 and 302 enter service for the very first time 2 years ago

all of its internals were stripped when it was rebuilt into a cabcar in 2011. it actually stayed as 406 for almost 11 years before being renumbered last year during rebuild.

@@zostrelling_ no I'm referring to the HEP generator that Amtrak gave #90406 in 2011 for auxiliary power supply. Does #90406 still have that 2011 HEP generator?

10?!!??! thats insane! 10 coaches would be way too much. 4-6 is good. anything over should be classified as an equipment move. why would you ever need 10!?
