Saw this last night at the dress. Fantastic! Sutton brings a new humanity to queenie and the woman who plays Kate is phenomenal

LOL the shot at 2:18 is so funny. I mean, obviously Stephen is landing some incredible note there, but just the silent shot looks... oh just go look at it :D

Julia Murney's "Raise the roof" is one of my all time favourites. I'm really excited for how Sutton's gonna change it up!!

I wonder of the people commenting here ever watched the original show with Julia Murney on the lead. Sutton is very talented but this role doesn't fit her at all. She doesn't have the voice for it, nor the physical appearance, and she's not sexy at all. Queenie is supposed to be a vaudeville singer. VAUDEVILLE, people. Have you ever watched pictures of Vaudeville stars? This is one of the reasons I hate most American musicals, because it's all marshmallows and pink elephants and realism is thrown out the window.

I didn't care for the choreography. Don't get me wrong it was great the dancers were great but this is one of those shows that you can venture away from ballet/jazz technique.
