Did you buy those in SA? I'm in South Australia and have successfully grown out these birds (cobb500) until 4 of the hens began to lay eggs....I then crossed them with a Light Sussex rooster and have been breeding my own meat birds since 2019. They are slower at maturing but have all the characteristics of the original stock. If you're interested in any further information my emails in my description thanks for the video.
