I have a repair similar so it will interesting to see how you do yours. I am thinking of putting in a flash board riser and straight piping through the dike then putting riff raff on the discharge side. I think with the riser I can control the height I want to keep the pond. I might put rubber on the edge of the 2x6 boards to minimize leaks. Am, I wrong? Side note, it’s on our property so… the only one I have to worry about satisfying is my wife and I. I have never done this before so it will be interesting.
Thanks for showing how you approach to properly break tree limbs off and the best way to stack them, certainly appreciate your advise on what works best for you. With that knowledge it save a lot of trial and error on our part.
Can I ask one more question, one more brother, how do you go about deciding how to plan a site. Do you just go off of what you see once you get to the site/freestyle based on your experience? I'm sure customer will ask for specific things but unless that's there background... so with raw wooded hillside/mountain terrain does the topographic map play into the design?
A couple years ago you had a pond repair with a similar situation. That went good. My Grandfather always said,” Don’t fix it if it isn’t broke”! My advice is ….. wash, rinse, repeat. That should be easy for you and give us some great drone footage. You Da MAN!!! 👍👍👍

Would you be able to give some advice on choosing someone with a similar skill set as yourself, I'm struggling to find competent excavators that aren't part of huge companies that don't want to build a driveway/make a house pad, on a 3 acres hillside
@@DigginLife21 I'm in connecticut, in the area where between where I live and where the job is there maybe 50 plus "tree service" companies and they all claim excavation as well. It only really means they can give a hole. If ppl used social media like you do here it'd be easy to choose.
