Very helpful! I love how cute this looks and I love wingspan, so I might get this game. I'm so easy to market to, just slap adorable art onto a game and I'm on board 🤣
Great review! I really hope to like this game. So I recently play Books of Time from Board and Dice, it gave me Wingspan vibes. Though it is very different from Wingspan, but I found myself comparing them and thinking: "I would rather play wingspan, it just flows better." I worry that I would think the same thing here. I can tell how it's different, but will it make wish I were just playing Wingspan instead. Anyway, just a long winded worry, thanks for listening.
Thanks for the video! This game really has my interest and now I have to decide if it deserves some of my limited budget. I have and love Ares Expedition and Wingspan, both of which you mentioned. Anymore I try to only buy games with good solo modes. Rhado's video really makes it seem like the solo mode is solid. Being as the game is produced by Nauvoo definitely improves the likelihood that I will get it. The artwork doesn't hurt either.
Gameplay has hints of Race for the Galaxy gameplay. Since I love Race for the Galaxy, and these robots look great, I think I'm definitely going to back this.
Great video, but for someone who's never heard of the game and is looking for an intro before game night, this was tough to follow. If I had the game and had already checked out the visuals on the cards and board, I think this would be more useful. I appreciate that your explanations didn't waste words, but you're speaking really quickly and by not introducing the elements of the cards, you're just kind of telling us that you're doing this thing or doing that thing and pointing at part of the card that we can't necessarily see. Keep in mind that people might be watching this on their phones so taking a few moments to edit might be helpful. I'm not saying the video sucked or anything like that, just offering some ideas to make it more valuable for a bigger audience. Thanks for reading
Appreciate the feedback, unfortunately editing to the level where you can follow on a phone is so labor intensive that it's unfortunately not worth the work...the board game space currently isn't large enough to make it worth it
Yeah, I agree that a phone video would have to have less focus on the person and more focus on the cards and table - So it's a different beast. So anyway, I played for the first time today and really enjoyed the game! Thanks for taking the time to answer on Thanksgiving and I hope the rest of your weekend is delightful. :-)
If i already have Wingspan and Earth on the way, is there still space for this? Tableau building and simultaneous action selection are my top favorite mechanisms, but I'm afraid this would actively compete with those two for attention..
@@BoardGameCo hmm.. against my better judgement, I might just sell my full wingspan collection instead. The many expansions has diluted the experience somewhat, alá terraforming mars. Thanks for your input!
