I was absolutely terrified of fighting this thing after hearing so much about it (specifically about old world Rajang) and expected it to be a hellish slog of a fight, only to be very pleasantly surprised by a fun but definitely still challenging fight. Managed to solo it with 2 carts on my first attempt, was absolutely horrified about losing in the end.
Same here; my first hunt with Vanilla Rajang ended with two carts. Some things are better expedited with friends...like Savage Deviljho, or Furious Rajang.
@@7Blacksteel7 dang Rajang was hell for me but i solod savage without carting, I guess its cause i’m a great sword or as i like to call it, the bonk bonk big bonk stick
The ability to tackle an elder dragon is almost certainly the measure of how Rajang determine whether they're truly adults - a Rajang that can't take down a Kirin and break its horn to eat is still considered a child, or at least a weakling, by its kind. It would be interesting to hunt a Rajang that hasn't earned its golden coat.
@@diegocantu9853 i disagree. Way to easy. Raging Brachydios for example we failed for like 5 to 7 quests before we defeated it. Furious Rajang. Catching during the first try

Not joking, first time I got jumpscared in this game was when i joined a fellow hunter's game hunting Rathalos at Ancient Forest, and in the middle of the battle this 0:07 engolfed Rathalos' theme and I was like "Wait... What...?!"
For those who say this guy is easy, please don't insult those who cannot beat them. They had still much to appreciate the ferocity of this super saiyan ape.
..... Apex rajang from MH4U is still the hardest rajang in existence... Although MHWI rajang is definitely DEFINITELY no joke either... He has almost no cool down on he's attacks and he rarely stays still now.... Bigger hit boxes and radius on most of he's attacks.. Soo yeah no.. MHWI rajang is definitely scary.... But Apex rajang is harder..
I fear no monster but that thing... Rajang speed jumps faster than 4U, making SAED whiff many times, and has unguardable grab attacks THAT APE SCARES ME NOW
@@fregi8779 no use, there are few monster has the move to butt you down even if you have guard up or Urganeen ambition. Trust me, I tried. When a gunlance like me run into this situation I rely on hight physical defence. It would be all number game by then. Lol
If you have a chargeblade you have to guard point the pin and have guard up. I think you also have to have guard 5. I've guarded that pin attack everytime with those skills.
Everytime Rajang goes into rampage mode, I imagine him yelling *POWWWWWWEEEERRRRRRRRRRR* Edit: Onto actual opinion of the theme is that I adore it, one of my favorite themes in all of Monster Hunter and it's due to the funky it has(Me and my friends call him the funky monkey for a reason). It's very catchy in my opinion but still holds true to what Rajang is, it's intimidating and threatening with the speed and power that is Rajang. The old theme was too jungly which does fit a monkey but Rajang goes everywhere so it doesn't fit in some areas. It did fit old Rajangs fight but I find the new one fits the new Rajang. Also that chase theme is really good, like the jazz is music to my ears until Rajang rips them off.
I actually have a theory that the humans in MH are descended from bears instead. Goss Harag has 4 fingers, an opposable thumb, uses tools often and to great extent, makes the tools itself, is mostly upright, and has no tail.
Fun fact, there is a category of creatures known as primates in MH with humans being the only members. So even if the monkeys and people do share a common ancestor, they would've diverged a very long time ago

I’m never able to enjoy his chase theme since he goes right into the next area lol, didn’t even know even his full chase theme was so threatening 😂 especially at 4:37 and 4:50
When I first herd the rajang battle theme it makes me feel like going nuts and smash everything in sight but still I really like this version of the rajang battle theme

There's something about this monster where if even my friend, who has played this game more than I have as well as the other past games, tells me that we need to avoid encountering Rajang as much as possible, I knew that this monster means business. Monkey business.
He’s certainly powerful enough, Why is Rajang not an elder dragon? Simple! The Wyvernscholars were able to deduce Rajang’s place in nature: To Punch Dragons.
I wonder if the furious rajang can get more made if they were able to do that is should named rampage rajang but his golden hair has a red coloring like his fist but his fist is black and it has scares all over him and having a broken horn and tooth
