He is right. There are movies on this topic made in Punjab but nothing in Bollywood. Loved this movie a lot. A true LED (laughter, emotions, drama). First I laughed so much that literally got cramps in my tummy. Then the movie made me cry so much. Such a great cinematic experience with so many people in the hall.

I saw Dunki on first day it self. My honest observation is I went because it's Raj kumar Hirani movie. But movie didn't live upto the expectations. He needs to change the way or adopt to something new which is relevant to this era. For me Dunki looks 6 7 years old in terms of representations and even dialogs.

In my honest opinion... Dunki is the best film of year . Thank you Raju sir to make such film. Great great great great great film for me.

who is manipulating bro...what for pathan and jawan those are real manipulations.... You think if cinema gonna works in hindi than it is okkk....you know south market stamina even flop movie in south can make 350 to 400 cr in a week thats very common in south....thats why 1st day 2nd day 3rd day movies collections are very high in south...in south cinema releases happens like festivals...All heroes fans are eager to watch any big heros movie in 1st day ....there is no manipulation for salaar...i know 1st half is below average movie but 2nd half is one of the best movie parts ever shown on indian movie screen..i think the movie can collect up to 900 - 1000 cr ...and same works for dunki...if movie was that good it will collect 600 cr ..for sure ..and dunki has higher chance for long run because pongal movies releasing in south especially in tollywood..the telugu movies already released 3 movies on dec 29 and waiting for 6 releases in pongal festival... Telugu industry releases more films than all other industries movies combined together in india you know that ...thats why the telugu movies have very big boxoffice stamina...

I don't know why we are all so obsessed with box office seedhi baat Karo ki picture achci hain ki nahi and let's be fair dunki is just so so movie not very bad but not very great movie.....that is that.....anand movie (1971) one of my all time great movie wasn't top grosser or dint have 3 crore footfalls but still is a superb superb movie likewise there are many movies like masoom, guddi, andhadhun, ek Hasina thi, Hera pheri.....countless movies like this....how does it matter whether someone resorts to corporate booking in the long run it won't have goodwill of a great movie somewhere in 2035 when my kids will ask ki bore ho Rahe hain.....suggest me good old movie from ott.....I will suggest her ddlj, 3 idiots, anand, sholay, mughale Azam etc etc and not movies based on box office parameters.

Dunki is running because of SRK, not because of Hirani. In this movie, magic is created by SRK with his acting, and Hirani missed out grabbing the attention as his previous movies were doing. Hirani should work on another script like 3 Idiots and should give it to SRK as a token of compensation.

Why does Pinkvilla insist on doing interviews with HINDI FILM Industry celebs and directors/Producers in ENGLISH?? We are devoided of good content when it is in English, very honestly. You would get 3 times better content if you asked people in Hindi, and they will be able to speak their heart out. Do not just try to blindly copy Film Companion, they force people to speak in English with questions in English only and they typically invite celebs only who can speak English comfortably. Still most of the celebs do get stuck with the right vocabulary or find it increasingly hard to reply smoothly. It would be 3 times smoother a reply when asked and replied in Hindi. Try it! You will see the difference in results. And in the process give the Hindi speaking and understanding people of the country a chance to hear their favourite celebs in a language that they connect better with, as they are watching it in the first place BECAUSE of their love for HINDI films!!

When Bollywood gets flops, if any South Indian move gets blockbuster and gets Oscar they say it's Indian Cinema. If any Bollywood move becomes block buster they say it's Hindi(Bollywood) movie but not an Indian cinema. Always they criticize South movies and they won't allow South Indian stars to grow. Always Indian cinema means Khan, kapoors etc. Best example not allowing South actor to grow is Prabas so only they make all rubbish statements on Salaar.
