In this video, we will make a recipe of Rajma Masala, which is a very delicious Punjabi Recipe. We will make this in Dhaba Style.

Ingredients:
Rajma / Kidney beans - 2 cups (soaked 12 hrs)
Salt - as per taste
Baking Soda - 1 pinch
Water
Tomatoes - 5
Onions - 3
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Black cardamom - 2
Cinnamon - 2
Cloves - 4-5
Black peppercorn - ½ tsp
Cumin - 1 tsp
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1tsp
Hing - 1 pinch
Salt - as per taste
Red Chili kashmiri - 1 tsp
Cumin powder - ½ tsp
Chana masala - ¼ tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Water - 2 cups
Sweet n Sour Chutney - 1 tbsp
Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp

In Pakistani Punjab red lobia is called rajma also.

Rajma was introduced much later in the Indian subcontinent region. People didn’t know what to call it. Back then Lobia (white beans) already existed, so some people started calling it Lal Lobia, because it looked similar. Back then, Maa or as people call it Maa ki daal (which is used in Daal Makhni) already existed, so some people started calling it Rajma, because it looked similar to Maa too. Incidentally, among Indians the name Rajma picked up and among Pakistanis the named Lal Lobia picked up.

Watch fituber video about the benefits.. it's not contributer of fat but rather prevents blood vessel clotting. Dont fell victim to oil companies alliance 's propaganda that the is bad. Oils in their true essence are real enemy. And if you happen to research more, Asafoetida is now considered carcinogenic substance.. so better avoid it. Cheers!!

All I did was followed the same process he did...😭😭😭 ❤️❤️❤️❤️ It turned out better than restuarant. Edit: take your time guys . it's hard but end results are like outside wala khana ghar pe. The onion paste he mixed with masalas for a long time is really the key for whole receipe..

Excellent receipe.. But the tamarind chutney didn't go well with the Punjabi flavour and made it a bit too pungent. Had to mellow it down with butter and fresh cream. Otherwise it's just Superb.

Everything great , just a tip .. grinding onion does not provide the same flavor while finally chopped gives true one... in addition , to make it thick reduce coriander powder as it has some texture which is not smooth, however meshing little bit in the end would bring a very good consistency instead... well done boy...

Sorry to say but this is not "dhaba" style cooking. Authentic dhaba or old school dhabas don't use grinded onion or tomatoes. Chopped onion and tomatoes would have been better. Nevertheless it does seems delicious
