Opposition parties criticized the Budget for allegedly "depriving" states governed by non-NDA parties and planned a march to Parliament on Wednesday morning to protest inside the House.
The decision emerged from a meeting of India bloc parties held at Congress chief Kharge's residence. Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee labeled the Budget as "anti-poor and politically biased," accusing the Centre of neglecting the state's interests. "Bengal has been deprived; the Budget doesn’t address the needs of the poor. It is directionless, only serving a political mission," she said.
